On tap. Black pour with a thin tan head. Scent is sweet, roasty with coffee and vanilla. Taste is vanilla, coffee and roasted malts. Savvy1982 (1706) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 12, 2012
Draft at Tamarack. Pours semi-opaque black, thin tan head, average lacing. Nose is vanilla, oats, coffee, light roast. Really a lovely smelling Porter. Flavours are more vanilla, joined by cashew nuttiness, round roastiness, black bread, toast, and mocha. One of the better Porters I’ve had of late! riversideAK (6260) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - NOV 3, 2012
Nose of dark roasted malts, a little bittersweet chocolate, a touch of tang, apparently this was sour mashed, a little earth. Nice. Pours dark brown more or less black with a creamy tan head with great staying power. Flavors of dark roasted malts, a little dark chocolate, slight sweetness, a little fruity, and a mild tartness in the finish that combines very well with the roast forward beginning. Smooth creamy body, nice dryness, nice light tartness in the finish. A really delicious beer.
