Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a mahogany color with a little white cap of a foamy head. Dissipated at a moderate pace, some light lace.
The aroma had some caramel/toffee malts up front playing with a little bit of hop spice and then flowing into a little bit of grassy to citrusy hop bitterness.
The flavor blended fairly nice between the malts and the hops, sweet to bitter and creating a fairly nice aftertaste flowing into the finish.
The feel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation and a nice ABV.
Overall, pretty good amber ale that I could come back to again. George999 (486) - Colorado, USA - AUG 14, 2016
From can, the pour is clear auburn in color, lightly carbonated with a carmel colored head resting on the beer, thinning to nothing. The aroma is cinnamon and carmel. The taste is rich soft spices, notes of turmeric, cinnamon and carmel. There is a sweetness throughout but a crisp ale finish. The finish is crisp, tart with a little spice. The mouthfeel is thin. Overall this is a fairly complex amber beer with a good depth of flavors bit a smooth drinking beer. Ordering this one again. cmacklin (1416) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 13, 2016
On tap. Pours a clear brown-copper with a medium, long lasting, off-white head that laces. Sweet aroma of toasted malt, caramel and a hint of chocolate. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, caramel, chocolate and a hint of nuts with a mildly bitter finish. Medium body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Not bad for an amber ale, more closely resembles a brown ale though. dwyerpg (6582) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - AUG 23, 2015
Not much in the aroma, easily one of the darkest amber ales I?ve seen. Almost more brown than red. The body also seems to have a little bit of the nut flavors common with browns. But it is lighter and has some hops in the finish. I?m liking it.
After finishing, I found it too sweet and lowered my score. bigda83 (879) - Jamestown, New York, USA - JAN 19, 2015
Poured an amber color, clear, and not much head. Aroma was very weak and all I got was some hints of sweetness. Taste was lightly caramel and fizzy with hints of sulfur. Not very good.

Thanks to Reimer for this. Pours dark brown with a small white wisp. Aroma is caramek / toffee nose with syrupy resinous malty mess. andrewturba (1190) - Alberta, CANADA - OCT 13, 2014
Pours a clear brown with a thin off white head that almost totally disappears. Aroma is rich maltiness, caramel, chocolate, grainy, nutty and faint hop presence maybe citrus. Flavour is caramel, nutty, chocolate, mild bitterness, citrus and over all a rich malty beer. dfinney23 (3424) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUL 8, 2014
Quite dark for an amber, with the malty caramel chocolate notes that sometimes implies. Maybe a tad too sweet but still pretty tasty. pintbypint (3977) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 19, 2014
Tap at Beer Rev. Brown with a small white cap. Nose has caramel and chocolate malts. Taste has caramel and chocolate. Finish has caramel and cocoa. Good beer, a bit like a brown ale. JesseMartineau (91) - Alberta, CANADA - JUN 16, 2014
