On draft at TBBC, poured a copper color, aroma of caramel, light dark fruit, and some nuts. Flavor is caramel and nuts, not much bitterness to it, ok beer overall. Travlr (24881) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - MAY 20, 2012
Draft at the source. Hazy amber, flat. Aroma of caramel. Taste is bitter caramel. Sammy (12210) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 18, 2011
Passable for the style. Amber colour. American citrus hop flavour, some hop aromas. Sweet malt, too much malt for style. Very lacey.
On tap at the brewpub. BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - SEP 11, 2010
Draft @ Brewpub: Caramel color, no head and liht lacing. Nose of pine and hop, light metallic malt and some molasses. Nice floral british hops but a thinner body than average. Works well together. sebletitje (10080) - Enghien, BELGIUM - APR 22, 2010
draft @ TBBC
copper, light off-white head.
Aroma, bitter dark fruits, fresh hops yeasty and caramel malts.
Flavors, light palate, some roasted malts and a tad of sweetness. As it warms up, the beer’s ESB bitter aspects are more forward, adding to the mix grassy hops.
Overall it’s decent ESB, wish the nose had some extra complexity.

Pours a deep copper in color. Had the cask conditioned version in August. Notes of sweet malts with a nice backbone of nuts. Finishes with a nice rounded bitterness. dchmela (3064) - Orlando, Florida, USA - AUG 21, 2009
Cask at the brewery. Pours a nice reddish copper with a thick off white head. Malty sweet nutty aroma. Smooth malty taste with hints of sweetness, nuts and toffee. Great style to put on cask, the slightly warmer temp of the beer let a lot of flavors pop out. Really tasty session beer. SrSilliGose (3331) - pouring bus, New Brunswick, CANADA - AUG 3, 2009
Tap. Pours a clear copper with a small head. Coffee, sweet malts, and caramel notes. Some crisp hop bitterness. Ok TomDecapolis (4618) - Milton, Delaware, USA - FEB 24, 2008
Cask at TBBC. Pours a translucent golden amber with an average creamy/lacing white head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, nuts, citrus...kind of light aroma. Flavor of the same...kind of grainy with a touch of sweetness and hops. Ibrew2or3 (8614) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - FEB 13, 2008
On tap at the brewpub. Pours clear deep gold with a copper core, off white head and decent lacing. The aroma is malty sweet and roasty but leaning toward the sweet side. Overall the nose is too meek. The taste is mild with some pale to highly roasted malts along with a stream of mild hops that border on tasting pine like. To go along with the pine-ish hop note is a spice hoppiness that tries to carry the flavor experience to the finish. Decent ESB
