On tap. Black in color with small creamy beige head. Roasty aroma with some coffee notes. Sweet flavor with notes of roasted chocolate malt. Medium bodied. Not bad. brokensail (16696) - Dublin, California, USA - DEC 29, 2015
On tap @ Tampa Bay Brewing. Pretty much black with a finger of khaki foam. Has sort of a coffee and coffee ground aroma and flavor to it. Plenty of roasted malts, dark chocolate, and a hint of smoke. Maybe a little leafy. Slight orange rind. Nice note of licorice, too. Bitter finish with just mild sweetness to the flavor. A touch on the watery side is my only real knock on it. Solid porter. Malt forward with flavors of chocolate, vanilla, toasted grain, toffee and moderate hop bitterness. John25 (1291) - Middletown, New Jersey, USA - MAR 15, 2015

Draft at the original Tampa location. Brown in color with ruby highlights, not much head retention. Aroma is on the weak side even with it warm. The lightest of roast and faint chocolate. The flavor is charred and ashy, lingering char malt after the sip. As for the body... Well, it’s very light when comparing to many others in the style. chinchill (5449) - South Carolina, USA - FEB 21, 2015
