UPDATED: JAN 13, 2008 Sampled at TBBC. Very dark brown in color with light ruby highlights at the bottom of the glass. Aroma: alot of chocolate as well as some roasty and lightly ashy black patent, hints of smoke, light citrus and floral hops. Taste is very roasty but not over the top, tons of chocolate, and a moderate amount of molasses. Mouthfeel is medium and creamy. FInishes with lingering chocolate/roast (black patent). This was probably my favorite beer of the day. mabel (10011) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 12, 2008
[937-20071206] Tap @ Tampa Bay Brewpub (Tampa, FL). Aroma has a little roasty malt. Dark brown black body with a medium-lasting foamy light tan head. Flavour is mainly roasted malt and coffee. Medium-full body is a little watery. Average. JMFG (1587) - Florida, USA - DEC 11, 2007
On tap @ TBBC. Black with a thin light tan head. Nice roasty aroma with light chocolatey tones. Nice smooth taste - a lot of roast that stays just short of being too bitter. Great roasty finish. Overall very nice and smooth, with a decent roast presence. BigMilly8 (389) - Wesley Chapel, Florida, USA - NOV 17, 2007
From tap at brewpub : Pours very dark with decent head and lacing. Aroma of coffee and caramel and roastedness. Flavor is much the same as the smell. Medium to thick body with a nice feel on the palate. Very good. afterglow (1047) - Florida, USA - OCT 19, 2007
Tap. Pours a clear dark brown with ruby highlights and a one finger lasting tan head that leaves great lacing. Aroma of chocolate, light roasted malt, and light caramel. Taste is the same as aroma. Medium creamy mouthfeel with a medium amount of bitterness. A wonderfull Porter.

Probably my favorite beer from these guys. Pours a very dark brown, with a light brown head. Looks medium to full bodied. Some toasted malts, a little chocolate, and a mild roastiness all filled the air around the glass. The roast really showed up in the flavor, with a decent amount of coffee, some mild chocolate and dark malts were there too. Very creamy mouthfeel, that seemed to drink really easy. Not a very strong beer, but it left a good impression on me. DragonStout (1418) - Groveport, Ohio, USA - JUL 12, 2007
pours black as night with no light coming thru it. this had a lighter mouthfeel but more carbonation the the Impy stout. The bitterness was up front with coffee following behind.the finish had a coffee bitterness CaptainCougar (7634) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - APR 21, 2007
On tap at the brewpub 1/1/07: Pours a barely transparent dark mahogany with a nicely-lacing, wispy light tan head. Aroma of sweet caramel and chocolately malts with a touch of roastiness. Body starts sweet and milk chocolatey with nice roasty coffee flavor for balance and a touch of biting carbonation before a thinner finish. eboats (1115) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - MAR 27, 2007
On tap at the new brewpub. Poured Dark Brown with a medium brown head. Aroma was heavily roasted with chocolate and coffee. Flavor was a rich chocolate, coffee, and plenty of roasted goodness. Really good malty body. Outstanding porter. DrHomolka (761) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 25, 2007
Draft. Pours dark brown/black with some red highlights. Aroma is not very strong at all - smells watery but there is a hint of some malts and maybe choclate. Taste is pretty watery too with some chocolate and a bitter finish. Not bad.
