Courtesy of sebletitje, thank you sir! Maroon, tan head, good lacing. Aroma and taste of chocolate with a smoky edge. Bitter finish. Tasty. Oakes (18594) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 20, 2009
Dark brown. The aroma is light coffee, accented by chocolate malt. Coffeeish, chocolatey palate with an interesting orangey note towards the dry, breadcrusty finish. brokensail (16631) - Dublin, California, USA - DEC 29, 2015
On tap @ Tampa Bay Brewing. Pretty much black with a finger of khaki foam. Has sort of a coffee and coffee ground aroma and flavor to it. Plenty of roasted malts, dark chocolate, and a hint of smoke. Maybe a little leafy. Slight orange rind. Nice note of licorice, too. Bitter finish with just mild sweetness to the flavor. A touch on the watery side is my only real knock on it. Draft at brewpub. Pours a brown color with a moderate off-white head that was lasting and produced great lacing. Good roasted malt and caramel aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture. Good sweet roasted malt flavor with solid finish. Good brew. Lubiere (14131) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 23, 2010
A dark clear brown porter with a thin brown head. A nice pleasant chocolate malt aroma, light moka coffee notes. In mouth, an intense caramel and chocolate malt with some smooth British hops, nutty and oily, quite nice and surprising. On tap at brewpub, May 24 2010.

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2004 (11/26/04) Aroma is moderately sweet, roasty, chocolate, coffee. Taste is medium sweet, roasty, coffee, some chocolate, light grapefruit. Watery light-medium body. (6/3/6/3/12) (7/7/03) Black with small creamy tan head. Aroma is medium sweet roasty coffee. Taste is too sweet, roasty, coffee, finishing coffee bitter. Medium body -- lighter than other "London Porters" I’ve tried. (6/4/4/2/9) bu11zeye (13139) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - MAR 24, 2010
(Draught) Pours a dark brown, near black, body with a moderate beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, earth, chocolate, and fennel. Flavor of roasted malt, cocoa, and coffee with a dry, bitter finish. hopdog (12953) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 16, 2005
On tap at the brew pub. Poured a very dark brown with reddish tints at the edges and an off white head. Aromas and tastes of roasted malts, chocolate, and a little nutty. Sammy (12637) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 19, 2009
Enjoyed on-tap at the brewpub. Jet black with whitish topping, lots of lace. Above average carbonation. Very well roasted, so how you like the roastiness is how you like the porter. jcwattsrugger (12517) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - DEC 10, 2006
on tap-pours a tan head and black color. Aroma is dark malt-licorice. Taste is dark malt-coffee/chocolate, secondary hops bite. OK carbonation.
