September 14, 2015 at Tap East - cask handpull. Refractive deep burnt reddish copper, not much head - mottled creamy beige what there was (to be fair, pint was VERY full). Aroma simple and classic - light roast, mild herbal bitterness, no alcohol presence at all - dry, a bit nutty, not sweet - plenty of grain, with hints of rye and coffee beans. Taste follows right on ... it is a bit watery and still, finishes quick with a bit of baker’s chocolate dry earthiness in the finish - solid.

Cask at the Rake, Borough. A vague malty basement aroma. An extremely dark chestnut. Thick off-white head. Creamy with a sour tang to the finish. Berries and coffee. Light bodied. Soft. Light carbonation. Astringent finish. A great mild.
