kespecial (255) - - DEC 9, 2016
This is a solid imperial IPA, quite boozy, lacks much nuance, but enjoyable. Pours orange, nose of pine and citrus, bittersweet grapefruit finish.

I enjoyed this. Quite strong, but in the way that forces you to sip it, rather than tasting like alcohol. Just enough bitterness to hide the sweetness. Good.

joeneugs (6372) - Livermore, California, USA - FEB 12, 2016
On tap at Artistic Table. It pours a clear golden orange color with an off white head. The aroma has some caramel, toffee, peach and grapefruit. The flavor malty with some cookies, caramel, toffee, light pine, peach and grapefruit. This one is unfortunately dominated by thick, sweet maltiness. Almost syrupy, but the darker caramels are absent thankfully. Kind of honey-like. The finish is medium bitter with some florals and pine. Ok, but not really my kind of beer.

Draft. Amber beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and pine aroma. Caramel and grapefruit flavor with pine. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Caramel and grapefruit linger with pine and light summer fruit.

Restrained yet very pleasant triple IPA. Smooth as hell for 11%.
Some biscuit and caramel malt under a mellow but ever present candied hop bittersweet nose and aroma. No heat.

On tap at capitol beer and taproom. Pours copper with white head. Taste is biscuits and sweet with a nice bitter finish.

arminjewell (9720) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - FEB 1, 2015
Pour on tap at Tonys Darts Away, hazy orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of pine, grass, some orange, hints of grain into a bit of caramel and toffee. Taste is a mix of slight dank, pine, resin into a bit of orange, slight yeast into a bit of caramel, finishing pretty bitter.

Tap, amber pour, white head, nose and taste are super citrus, hoppy, slightly boozy

davidm (2081) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JAN 10, 2015
Great taste. Goes on for ever. In the nose: grass, caramel, liquoice. Taste is well balanced.

brokensail (16670) - Dublin, California, USA - DEC 24, 2014
On tap @ Out of the Park Pizza. Clear amber pour with a white head. Smells a bit on the sweet side with a lot of caramel and pineapple. Decent pine and some grapefruit. Pretty dang malty, though. Flavor has a lot of pineapple and pine/resin. Kind of woody and somewhat has some decent citrus peel. Tons of caramel and some grapefruit pith. Kinda goopy.
