COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Here at Tap It Brewing we take a unique approach toward crafting an India Pale Ale and challenge the current status quo. The goal? To craft an India Pale Ale hoppy in flavor and aroma that goes down smooth. We utilize the avant-garde method of First Wort Hopping, the technique of adding hops to the kettle before boil. This creates a harmonious explosion of hop aroma and flavor noticeable throughout the tasting experience. Fragrances of tangerine and grapefruit entice the nose. A thick hazy rich head leads drinkers toward an experience rich in citrus and earthy flavors ending with a smooth, sticky finish. The complex floral and citrusy tones from Citra and Simcoe hops welcome you, while two more hop varietals mate smoothly with four malt varieties for an unmatched aroma. Altogether, a crisp pleasurable full bodied taste. A word of caution: Drinking Tap It IPA around friends may cause envy.

Bottle from Mouton Rouge Canterbury and drunk at home. Clear amber lasting ivory head. Classic American hop ipa grapefruit resin aroma. Itís ok. Not amazing. But itís ok, solid and competent. Doesnít hit with fresh fresh hop but itís got decent bitterness on the finish and decent resiny hop. American malty aroma. Fine. A little bit of heat. But itís solid enough

22 oz. bottle, pours a clear golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of piney hops, not a whole lot else Ė big pine and a thin malt backing. Flavour is identical, with monolithic piney hop notes, some juiciness, and a bready caramel malt backing. Nice pine-dominated IPA, but nothing overly special.

Bottle, 22oz. It pours a clear, golden body and a dense, big, off-white head that lasts and leaves lacings. The aroma could have more punch I think, pine cones, peach hints and a grassy and lightly malty touch. Bitter flavor with a hint of fluorine tooth paste. Pine cones, peaches and some freshly mown grass, as well as a little sweetness, just enough to let the bitterness play the lead role. Full to medium body, with a soft and maybe a little low carbonation level. Long finish with a tad to little bitterness. Overall, most definitely a nice brew, but it could use a bit more punch all the way. Very easy drinkable though. 130822

Light orange pour with a white head. Light herbal notes followed by tons of pineapple, grapefruit, orange, and tangerine. Floral notes in the background, some sweet bread, and a hint of caramel. Nice bitterness on the palate to balance the little bit of caramel sweetness. Plenty of fruity hop character. Great citrus notes and a light tropical quality. Very enjoyable.

Benzai (15433) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - DEC 3, 2014
Bottle shared by my uncle Ino. Hazy medium to dark orange color, medium sized off-white head that diminishes quite quickly. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, strong pine and piney hops. Taste moderate to heavy malts, piney hops and bitter hops again. A little old (best before date Jan 2015) so maybe less fruity but pretty nice nonetheless.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours amber with a white head. Aroma is citrus/floral. Med body. Flavor is citrus/floral over a nice malt background. It even seems a touch spicy. Itís very hoppy and full of flavor. Finishes bitter.

Scopey (14498) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 9, 2016
Bottle thanks on Dan. It pours clear gold with a thick white head. The aroma is fresh, funky, dirty, must, sulphur, grassy, herbal action and minerals. The taste is bitter - sweet, brown bread, pine, resin, stewed fruits, apricot, toffee and earth with a smooth finish. Medium body and fine, foamy carbonation. A bit sweet. Basic, but ok.
