COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Here at Tap It Brewing we take a unique approach toward crafting an India Pale Ale and challenge the current status quo. The goal? To craft an India Pale Ale hoppy in flavor and aroma that goes down smooth. We utilize the avant-garde method of First Wort Hopping, the technique of adding hops to the kettle before boil. This creates a harmonious explosion of hop aroma and flavor noticeable throughout the tasting experience. Fragrances of tangerine and grapefruit entice the nose. A thick hazy rich head leads drinkers toward an experience rich in citrus and earthy flavors ending with a smooth, sticky finish. The complex floral and citrusy tones from Citra and Simcoe hops welcome you, while two more hop varietals mate smoothly with four malt varieties for an unmatched aroma. Altogether, a crisp pleasurable full bodied taste. A word of caution: Drinking Tap It IPA around friends may cause envy.

Pretty big pine resin and citrus aroma and flavor. Fairly bitter too. Didn’t seem terribly fresh but still liked it - maybe get it from the source one day soon :)

Bomber from Binny’s in Schaumburg, IL. This must be well aged or badly mishandled, because no way this bottle would be a 90+ rated beer. Clear yellow-orange pour with a small soapy white head. Cardboard, stale hops, a bit of herbal - I can’t get much of the good stuff others found in this. Damn shame.

Bottle, from day 9 of the Beer Advent Calendar 2013. Bright orange amber with a thick pillowy light golden head. Terrific bouquet of Pacific Northwest hoppy goodness, very vibrant. Juicy citrus hop flavours open the palate, some perfumey pine, but mostly tangerine and grapefruit. The malts are equally lovely, a little doughy, a little toasty. It all finishes with a lengthy bitterness. What a terrific surprise!

Bottle shared by brew3crew in Dec. 2012. Pours a hazy golden color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor had dank hops, earthy notes, light resin, moderate citrus hops, toasted bready malts with hints of caramel. Decent enough ipa from a previously unknown brewery.

olio (10267) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 17, 2014
355 ml bottle. BBE 30.09.2014.
Pours clear dark golden-copper color with a large white head. Very resinous and piney aroma, some sweet tropical fruits lots of oily hops. Sweet orange and resinous hops on the flavor, mild caramel, sweetish pale malts and some mild gooseberry notes as well. Smooth oily palate with a bitter malty finish. A very nice and balanced IPA leaning towards the malty side, feels very fresh even though it’s very close to BBE date, but I bet It’d be even better fresh. Good.
