On tap at Capitol Beer & Tap Room. Pours Reddish brown with a nice tan head and a red malt aroma. There is a hearty smoked malt flavor with a niclely bitter finish. Well-balanced and tasty.

Tap at University of Beer in Davis, CA. Pours dark copper with a beige head. Mild resin aroma. Med body. Flavor starts resin and quickly picks up some chocolate. I’ts finishing resin/citrus and bitter and very close to dry. Nice bitter bit in finish. With a hint of phenol? Good drink.

On tap @ Tap It. Copper pour with a khaki head. Nose is grapefruit, grass, pine, and toast. Lots of bread, fruity esters, and some herbs. Quite woody. Flavor is sweet caramel, toffee, and toast. Lots of citrus, wood, and herbs. A bit bitter on the finish. A bit perfumey.
