Sample draft at World of Beer. Pours a light brown with almost no head. Aroma is mild toast and honey. Tastes like a very watery brown ale. Some light toast, nuts, and honey. Very thin body. Not very good. Petkus331 (389) - Redford, Michigan, USA - APR 8, 2014
The aroma is like a peice of toast that has been toasted as far you can toast before it burns, perfect malt toasting! Also hints of caramel in the aroma. Appears redish dark brown, some lace, thin head around the rim. Tastes like bready slightly bitter wheat toast followed by mild but bancing caramel sweetness and bready fullnes. Palate is fizzy, but a bit watery. Overall, a very good brown! But I get minimal, if any honey. firstsip (752) - Michigan, USA - APR 8, 2014
Tap. Dark red-brown. Lingering mm of head. Slightly thin mouthfeel, but with a creamier edge. Mild malt and hop qualities, but malt is fantastically toasty. Didn?t get the honey in this as strong as expected! flatmatt (1608) - Northville, Michigan, USA - MAR 7, 2014
On tap at Ashley’s Ann Arbor. Pours a dark, clear brown with a white head. Light roasty malt aroma. Flavors of toasty roasty malt, light coffee, and a suggestion of honey. It’s an okay brown ale.
