can - Pours near black with a one finger lingering tan head. It smells of dark roast malt and chocolate. The flavor is roasty with a good balance of malt and hops and chocolate and coffee notes. Smooth, medium to full bodied, robust. Quite good. arminjewell (9720) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - FEB 27, 2017
Pour on tap at the brewery, dark reddish black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of cocoa, roast, coffee, hints of dark fruit into a bit of spice, slight yeasty note. Taste was a mix of grass, cocoa, coffee, hints of dark fruit, finishing fairly bitter, slightly sweet.

On tap 11-16-2016 at Dash-In, Fort Wayne, IN. This beer’s appearance when served is a small caramel head with a short retention, opaque dark brown body and a fair amount of lacing adorns the glass. The aroma is light hops and malt. The flavor is malt, rich tasting and lightly sweet. The mouthfeel is smooth and semi-thick. This beer is medium bodied. A quffable beer but could use more flavor to get me to drink it again. bpar73 (1186) - Bellaire, Michigan, USA - FEB 18, 2017
On tap at Union Tap & Grill. Black pour with a reddish brown head. Dark malt and chocolate in the taste and aroma . A pleasant porter. thedm (6320) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - NOV 16, 2016
This draft brew from a restaurant poured a extremely small sized head of foamy finely sized light brown colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a no visible carbonation opaque black brown colored body and a good lacing. The weak aroma was brown malt. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a strong roasted malt aftertaste. The ok flavor contained notes of sweet brown malt dark malt and hops. An OK brew just nothing special. flatmatt (1621) - Northville, Michigan, USA - AUG 4, 2016
