Almost black in color with a tan head. Really simple and straightforward: this smells like coffee. There’s a little bit of dark chocolate and some nice roasted malt character. The story is pretty much the same on the palate: lots and lots of coffee flavor. Intense coffee, a hint of vanilla, and a fair amount of roasted malt and dark chocolate. Really good. Poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lasting brown head. Aromas of roastiness, coffee, bitter chocolate, light vanilla and light carmel. Palate was medium to full bodied asnd smooth. Flavors of roastiness, dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla and light carmel with a smooth lingering coffee finish.

Draught. Arbitrary score 4/5 for Appearance, as nighttime conditions prevented correct assessment. Coffeenose, coffeesweets "beans", intense coffeearoma, but nowhere sharp. Impressive. Really like cold coffee with sugar, but in a really good way. Bitter in the background. Even dry-out effect. Feels intense, concentrated into dryness; Some beer - one to try if you can. Tap at the Brea location. Inky pour. Clear highlights. Nose is very green- spicy jalapeno, green bell pepper. Salt and caramel. Much too green. Taste is very acidic coffee, lemon tea, green bell pepper, jalapeno spice. Black peppercorn. As it warms, some coffee flavor fades thankfully for toasted nut flavors. Palate is still very dry. Bottle. Pours with a pitch black body with a small tan head that lasts. Aromas of coffee, coffee creamer, bready, vanilla, light roasted malt, very rich. Flavors are HUGE, rich and fresh roast, a bit nutty, some vanilla. Vibrant coffee character. Chocolate, maple. Minimal bitterness overall. Alcohol is completely hidden, silky mouthfeel with light carbonation. Very tasty!
