Pour on tap at the brewery, dark black pour with dark tan head, aroma brought notes of cocoa, roast, big green apple, slight tart lemon, touch of coffee into a bit of chemical notes, yikes. 5 apr 2012, tap at Taps. Black. Nose is huge espresso and tobacco. Med body and a tad fizzy. Really black coffee, tobacco, slight alcohol, very butter chocolate bitterness finish. Great.

Sampled at the brewery. It pours dark brown with a tan head. The aroma is mostly dark chocolate, coffee, and alcohol. On cask at Stone Bistro. Dark dark brown pour, very small tan head.. almost still, which I am sure is due to the hand pump. A lot of fruit in the aroma, with dark roasted malts. In the flavor the fruit is much more subtle, mostly cocoa, roasted malt, light smoke, and a touch of vanilla. Good, but a little thin for an imp stout.
