A - Citrus hoppieness, with a bit of yeast A - Clear yellow/orange with dense, lasting white head T - Light sweetness that disappears to almost nothing and leaves a long lasting bitter finish P - Thin with ample, soft carbonation O - decent, but would like more in the flavor department

Picked this up at my favorite Polish deli, Delikateski in Concord, Ca. This wasn’t half bad, but overall, nothing to exciting. I don’t know if it’s storage or age, but most of these tend to be sweet-maltiness, with little else, not much else. Very drinkable, but could have a little more character.

500 ml can from LCBO. Pours a clear bright gold with medium-sized white head. Sweet, grainy aroma. Flavour is also grainy though just a hint of sweetness that is obscured by the harsh grains and some grassy hops in the finish. A little metallic. Light-medium body. Nothing special.

Smells fine, looks good. Initial flavor is light and sweet, but as it goes, it seems that the alcohol becomes more prevalent. A dry alcoholic finish is not too tasty.

bulldogops (2490) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - AUG 27, 2010
500mL Can from the LCBO. 5.5%. Clear, golden-yellow colour with a bubbly white foam, mild retention. Smell is mild hops, and grains. Taste is grainy, lightly hopped, mouthfeel is creamy with light carbonation. Finishes dry with nothing but adjunct and malt lingering on the palate. Nothing exciting. 43539

Bottle poured a clear tarnished gold with a lingering ring of white foam. Aromas of bread, straw and spicy hops. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp. Flavors of bread, straw, spicy hops and a hint of carmel with a crisp malty finish.
