Bottled. Deep amber colour with mediumsized off-shite head. Aroma is big malts, some hops as well as some roasted notes. Flavour is quite much the same along with some grass. Also the roast is quite mild in the flavour.

Thanks to DSG for a Palestinian rating! Pours almmost black with a finger thick eggsheel colored head. Niec malty and molasses nose and flavor. A bit sweet and light smoke and a little dark fruit. Medium mouthfeel and clean finish.

Bottle. Thanks to Michael Rosenow who brought this home. Thin head over a cola-brown body. Slightly roasty malt smell with some brown sugar backing. The taste is fruity more than roasty, befitting an ale. Also some cider to the palate. Michael said he tastes coriander, but I don’t get much spice to it. A bit of tartness toward the end. Turns out nice.

Bottle from DSG. Thanks Barak! It pours a very dark brown with a thin, disappearing khaki head. The aroma is pleasing with some sweet cocoa powder, toast and light notes of earthy hops and sulfur. The flavor has more toast and light cocoa, vanilla and hints of diluted molasses, roasted malt and earthy hop bitterness in the finish. There’s a touch of metal and green/raw malt that throws it off a bit and keeps it from being truly enjoyable, but I liked the toast and cocoa flavors. The body is a bit thin too, but not too bad for a lower gravity Dunkler Bock. I’d drink this on the regular if options were slim.

Bottle shared by DSG at the hotel lobby fart share - thanks again, Barak! Pours a mostly clear tea amber with a small lasting beige head that settles into a ring. Notes of chocolate, toast, tobacco, earth, and brown sugar. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a relatively sweet mouthfeel. Not bad. Underrated.

Bottle shared with JMD at HNB 25.03.16. Dark copper. Pale brown head. Aroma of dark syrup and dark malt. Similar taste, balanced with moderate bitterness. Good drinkability!
