Draught at Focusrite as W Chocolate Bock. Quite thin-bodied for the abv, bitter chocolate and cereals dominate, fizzy carbonation, notes of cola, fairly dry finish with a cocoa edge. Fun drink for the season, quite smooth if not a bit too light, maybe due to its feminine customer target. Wombata (627) - Kobe, JAPAN - NOV 3, 2014
Tap at Enibru Tazawako Event
Flavor: dry, bitter and slightly sweet malt, roasted malt, cocoa powder in the background with a nuances of nutmeg and cinnamon spice. Lingering finish.
Comment: A rather dry version of a chocolate beer. Rather liked it. shoulderbroken (4256) - Tokyo, JAPAN - JUN 3, 2014
UPDATED: APR 6, 2017 Keyaki. Nice and smooth and sweet. Light bitterness, nice sweetness. Cocoa. Rerate at the Tazawako place in Sendai. Nice subdued chocolate taste, easy going, touch of spice and bitterness, touch of cola. Surprisingly easy going for the strength. Good stuff. Score up a touch.

Draft to flute
Lightly toasted malt, hay, sweet grass, plum, and chocolate. Translucent reddish brown with a thin tan head. Taste is all plum, not much else. Ferris (17173) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 30, 2013
Draft - Toasted malts, light molasses and mild chocolate. Jet brown with a thin head. Rich dark malts toasted grains and the chocolate is lost in the flavour. Very average bock.

For some reason this is now being sold as W (double) Chocolate Bock. Bottle at the GJBF Osaka. A pleasant chocolatey aroma with a rich malty base underlying it and a golden brown color. The mouthfeel is nice but the flavor is slightly grainy which I don’t care for, grainy start then chocolate finish. Tasty but somewhat disappointing. jonno (3015) - JAPAN - JUN 3, 2012
Soft and supple - though not a great deal going on. Smooth - low carbonation. Thin to medium body. Some berry, a little chocolate and a slight roast. Solid drinking, but a bit too quaint for the style. BuckeyeBoy (8861) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAY 8, 2012
Bottle from Kyoto station. Pours out a crisp brown topped with a small cream tan head. Aroma is of light sweetness, dark fruits, and some rich malts. Taste of pit fruit, light bitter sweet chocolate. KyotoLefty (10810) - Kyoto, JAPAN - APR 27, 2011
Draught at Q-Brick as W-Chocolate Bock. Think it is the same one. Rich munich malt aroma with chocolate and caramel. Fragrant and nice. Black with a thin, fine, head. Slightly smoky flavor of chocolate and caramel with some wood. Very rich malt, yet not cloying in the least. Very nice bock indeed.
