amber color; lots of piney hops in the aroma with some herbal notes and citrus; piney hop flavor with herbal notes and citrus in the flavor as well; medium bodied caramel malt base FROTHINGSLOSH (8069) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 11, 2016
Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark caramel color with a large foamy orange-white head that left excellent lacing. The aroma was bitter and tangy with fruity hops, cactus, pine and pepper. The flavor was bitter, tart and dryish with cactus, pine and lemon then a sweet caramel undertone. Long hoppy finish. Moderately full bodied and smooth. Decent ClarkVV (6839) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 7, 2016

Good clarity in this tangerine-golden body with a medium-sized, fairly well-retained, white head.
Big fruity, citric, punchy and aggressive nose has plentiful cherry, strawberry, ruby red grapefruit and very light pineapple. Sweet caramel malts balance, somewhat, but there’s certainly some resin and booze present here.
As with their other IPAs, it’s flavorful as hell, with big bursts of fruitiness, strong citrus and tangy pine and soft, balancing honey-caramel-like malts. Engaging carbonation and lingering pine, grapefruit and light sour-like resin. I like a lot of these flavors, but there’s just too much resin/acidity here and it fatigues the palate rather quickly.
Bottle. Nose heavy pine and grapefruit rind, buffed caramel; pour orange-amber with a sudsy cream head. Taste very sweet and very bitter, some resin, huge pine, huge caramel/toffee, nice underlying earth/wood, strong-but-not-burning alcohol. Full body, creamy rather than crisp, bold flavor with strong lemon and tangerine citrus, quite heavily perfumed floral finish and aftertaste (which I will most remember about this one). Clean with sticky lips. Not getting terribly much of the advertised Simcoe, but I enjoy the occasional a trip down memory lane with view to sugar-and-hops booze bombs of old. 12oz WL beer thanks to fatknitty! Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a finger of foamy white head. Aroma of sweet caramel malts, rotted citrus, grapefruit, and a bit of pine. Taste mimics the nose with lots of pine and zesty bitterness.

Bottle thanks to Jsquire. Pours clear rich yellow with small off-white foamy head, faint grassy hops aroma, medium carbonation, slightly sweet hoppy taste, long hoppy finish. Very nice IPA with smooth mouthfeel despite the high alcohol content. Evolutionary (513) - Ohio, USA - AUG 29, 2015
Tap at local roots. Nose is all hop with a bit of sweetness in there. Hop bite is muted by sugar up front. Little floral notes until the end. A bit too sugary for me but smooth as butter. Ron (4085) - Rochester, New York, USA - JUN 26, 2015
Bottle from Erica and Chris. Pours a nice orange color with a small tan head. Aroma is a nice resiny piney citrus hit with a sweet caramel malt backbone. Taste is nice and hoppy with a lot of grapefruit and a little pine, sweet caramel. Big bitter ending, The alcohol was hidden well here.
