HEY PORTER, Johnny said. Nice large and in charge pour. Big and black, good looking porter. Decently clean roasty flavors with a gentlemanlike bitterness. Smells like its OK. Flavorfull yet not too much CO2. Stronger alky sensations begin to build. Lovely large bomber bottle. I always said you need a bomber to have a good sample, heheh. Sizzly at times in the cheak during the session. Creamy thin head, fades only to a thick around the edge pound scum thing which makes me want to stick my tongue in it. Certainly some choco thing hidden in the background. Brew kettle is on par with the best of them. Not as good as wild bills or bells or even EE pink clouds, but OK overall for a porter; not as offensive as the ABV would indicate. This is really a dark beer experience fer sure and I’m glad to have had it. GAManiac (1946) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - FEB 28, 2011
Thanks to Tifore for this bottle.
Pours deep chestnut brown, not quite black, with a small but thick tan head. Not much lacing.
Aroma is sweet with chocolate malts, roasted coffee and a bit of chalky bakers chocolate. Vanilla and dark fruits as well.
Taste is also sweet with lots of vanilla, caramel and chocolate malts. The toasted malts take a backseat to the sweetness.
The mouthfeel is medium bodied and well carbonated with a roasty finish.
This is a sweet porter with lots of chocolate and and a subtle roasty character. Really drinkable and, overall, a seriously tasty porter. badnewsbeers (2312) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - FEB 8, 2011

Dark brown pour, looks a little thin, the tan head builds after the pour and quickly dissipates. Very nice roasted aroma, coffee and chocolate. Similar flavor, bitter roasted coffee with a nice sweet chocolate malt finish. Body is a little thin, otherwise this is an excellent porter. jcwattsrugger (12559) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - FEB 6, 2011

Bomber courtesy of crizay pours mahogany with tan head. The aroma is roasty malts, burnt malts and some smooth earthiness. The taste is similar with tasty dark roasted malts and burnt malts and an under current of earthiness mixing with molasses. Nice roasty brew. Hopper (827) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - JAN 11, 2011
22 oz. brown bottle courtesy of miketd. A very dark brown almost black beer with red hues on the edge of the glass. A good head that clings to the glass as it fades. The aroma is nice chocolate, roast, and some smokey burntness. The taste is clean with lots of chocolate with a slightly creamy mouthfeel and anymore would be perfect. The end is not so pleasant but a pretty good porter. The aroma is its best attribute. GT (10017) - San Diego, California, USA - JAN 10, 2011
651mL courtesy of mdfb79. Poured a clear brown with a healthy, brown head leaving good, spotty lace. Aroma of brownie mix, vanilla, light olive, mostly muted. Taste is sweet cola, light mildly bitter and burnt. Powdery, watery body. Even lightly tart. sebletitje (10477) - Enghien, BELGIUM - JAN 8, 2011
Bomber. Just a little bit of light slips in around the edges of this dark brown pour. Head is fairly thin... tan foam. Chocolate milk dominates the nose, with a bit of an earth and leather backdrop. Flavor is straight chocolate milk... with just a hint of darker and more bitter notes that peek through now and again. Flavor is decidedly sweet, but it doesn’t head off into cloying territory. ABV is excellently hidden.
