Poured a deep amber color with a red tint and thin off-white head. The aroma was of very mild raspberry and paper. The flavor was mildly sweet with mild raspberry and a hint of vanilla. Light caramel as well. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 25, 2008
On tap at the Brew Kettle. Poured clear ruby with a creamy cap of pinkish-white head. The aroma picked up sweeter raspberries upfront with wheat tartness and more sweetness than substance from the vanilla. The flavor had significant vanilla all the way through, leaving a sweet, fresh whole bean impression on the finish.. lesser raspberry seeds provided some tartness on the back.. very sweet and absent of alcohol. This was a bit too sweet for me on the palate, and I would’ve liked more raspberry tartness.. nice flow across the palate.. tasty overall! Bottle shared by goldtwins. Ruddy-brown beer, very clear. Aroma is loaded with raspberry and light vanilla. Smells very sweet and candyish. Very fruity and sweet with a light chocolate maltiness as well. Boozy and a bit plasticy. It’s tastes like cheap Black Forest Cake frosted with cough syrup. ryan (3186) - Beltsville, Maryland, USA - MAY 22, 2008
Courtesy of kmweaver. Clear dark amber body with a small beige head. The nose is massively sweet with lots of raspberry and caramel. The flavor is moderately sweet and medicinal with lots of cherry, caramel, cotton candy and plastic. Medium/full body is round with moderate carbonation. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - MAY 22, 2008
(22oz bottle) Medium beige head atop clear dark copper body. Aroma is medium sweet, raspberry, some raisin, light vanilla. Taste is medium sweet, raspberry, raspberry syrup, some seltzer. Light-medium body.

22oz bottle. Pours a deep, burgundy-orange color; khaki-colored head with fine-bubbled lacing. Toasty malts, raspberries, and creamy vanilla in the aroma; singular, sweet fruit character. Medium-to-full fruit notes in the mouthfeel: raspberries, sweet sugar and viscous, syrupy vanilla notes; toasty vanilla and oak, coupled with vanilla and breadiness; decent, toasty fruit beer. Medium finish: raspberries, toasty oak, and syrupy vanilla notes; decently arranged. Cornfield (5570) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - MAR 27, 2007
Nice to have a Fruit Beer that doesn’t come across like a bland American Wheat with some fruit syrup stirred in. This has a deep red body, slightly browned, with little of any head. The first whiff is of vanilla follwed rapidly and strongly with a clean raspberry aroma. The fruit tastes slightly artificial but blends nicely with the vanilla. It finishes on a tart raspberry note. Can’t tell what the base beer is. Pretty good.frankenkitty (2012) - Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA - MAR 26, 2007

Pours a deep ruby body with coppery lowlights, topped with a thin, ragtag skin. Big doses of raspberry and vanilla in the nose, very dessert-like (even with a JellOish, fruity-dustiness). Flavors are dictated by the aroma with the raspberries showing their tartness. A little dry in the finish.

Bottle, poured a copper/purpley color with a thin fleeting head. Instant aromas of vanilla, lots and lots of vanilla. I did not find any raspberry in the entire bottle, just lots of woody vanilla. Medium mouthfeel and then more vanilla. This wasn’t horribley (sp?) bad, but it just wasn’t my cup-o-tea. BeerVirgin72 (880) - Pickerington, Ohio, USA - FEB 17, 2007
On tap at Brew Kettle as part of sampler. Very nice amber/red color. Smelled the vanilla right away, could not detect the raspberry...This beer was very unique. The two flavors go really well together. I think the vanilla was definitely more predominate up front, but I did taste the Raspberry, and a bit of carbonation as well, which made it seem less like a beer. Overall, a very drinkable, if different, kind of beer!
