1/4 liter tulip on tap @ the B.K. A nice change from the usual. Dark red possible purple color influenced from the description. Thick lasting white head. raspberry aroma with hints of vanilla. a great alternative for the special lady who is not "micro’d" yet ( 8.3% abv won’t hurt either). goes great with the chocolate cake. not on the top of my list personally, but a good representation of the "genre."

On tap at the Brew Kettle. I saw this on the menu and expected to get your regular old rasp.wheat - I was happily surprised! Sure it's got the raspberry aroma (a very little vanilla in there too). Deep dark red - almost brown; could hardly see thru it, but it wasn't hazy. The taste and palate are what got my attention - Thick and smooth, fruit flavors are strong without becoming overly sweet; hints of vanilla and citrus. Surprise ending - Smoke! Yes, smoke - very interesting and it actually helped balance the increasingly sweet flavors. Inventive, well made and much stronger than it tasted (8.3%)

On tap at Brew Kettle as part of sampler. Very nice amber/red color. Smelled the vanilla right away, could not detect the raspberry...This beer was very unique. The two flavors go really well together. I think the vanilla was definitely more predominate up front, but I did taste the Raspberry, and a bit of carbonation as well, which made it seem less like a beer. Overall, a very drinkable, if different, kind of beer!

Bottle: Poured a light clear amber color ale with a good size foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma is a nice enough mix between some vanilla and some raspberries. Taste is a well balance mix between some raspberries (real no syrup) with some distinctive notes of vanilla and a good medium sweet malt backbone. Full body with some good carbonation and no discernable alcohol. I wasn’t sure the mix between vanilla and raspberries would work but I was quiet impressed.

Sample at the Brew Kettle on 3/23/14. Clear amber pour with a medium beige head. Aroma of malt, vanilla and slight berry. Malty flavor with vanilla and raspberry before a graham cracker finish. Tasty.

UPDATED: OCT 14, 2016 Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a red-caramel color with a large creamy orange-white head that left good lacing. The aroma was sweetish with vague berries and red sweedish fish. The flavor was strong sweet raspberry jam followed by vanilla and table sugar. Medium length finish. Full bodied and smooth. Well done.

This poured a nice ruby red color with a fluffy off white head. Aroma was of really sweet rasberries and a hint of vanilla. Flavor was yeasty with some really sweet almost overbeariong raspberry taste with a hint of vanilla again. Not bad, but a bit too sweet for my liking.

Nice to have a Fruit Beer that doesn’t come across like a bland American Wheat with some fruit syrup stirred in. This has a deep red body, slightly browned, with little of any head. The first whiff is of vanilla follwed rapidly and strongly with a clean raspberry aroma. The fruit tastes slightly artificial but blends nicely with the vanilla. It finishes on a tart raspberry note. Can’t tell what the base beer is. Pretty good.

On tap at the Brew Kettle. Poured clear ruby with a creamy cap of pinkish-white head. The aroma picked up sweeter raspberries upfront with wheat tartness and more sweetness than substance from the vanilla. The flavor had significant vanilla all the way through, leaving a sweet, fresh whole bean impression on the finish.. lesser raspberry seeds provided some tartness on the back.. very sweet and absent of alcohol. This was a bit too sweet for me on the palate, and I would’ve liked more raspberry tartness.. nice flow across the palate.. tasty overall!

Draft sampler at the tasting room. Pours an amber ruby with a small head. Aroma of vanilla beans and raspberries. A little medicinal. Taste is more raspberry with a finish of vanilla. Medium carb, light body. Not bad.
