Can (sampled: 18.2.04 Mexico/DF-Merida plane)
Small bubbling white head. Yellow. Sweat aroma. Corn taste giving light sweet aftertaste.

It's got a good marketing scheme, good beer overall. I like the red cans espcially...it's a lighter beer, something that isn't so hard on the palate, generally enjoyable.

Not the best tasting beer ever, but it has a distinctive character. Makes me think of Mexican food and conjures up memories of some fun times south of the border. I like to drink this beer occasionally for nostalgic reasons.

A great beer to cool you off when on a canoe trip down the Niobrara. Nothing special in the Mexican beer category. Ranks ahead of Corona and behind Bohemia in my book.

A very average beer for a very average person. But I'm not a very average person. Where this beer's not bad, there's nothing special about it at all. The soft white head disappears quickly, reminding me of seafoam. It smells of cheapness, the taste is very ordinary, and borderling "cheap beer." It's nothing I'd likely buy again.

Not that bad of a beer, tastes like Bud Light with corn. Slightly fizzy with little head, pricey. Attractive can. Goes well with tacos.

UPDATED: JAN 23, 2005 Easily drinkable lager. Very smooth almost cramy taste. Not what i expected from a mexican beer. For about 16 bucks a case my buddy got pretty drunk finishing about 12 in a few hours. Again easily drinkable and somewhat enjoyable beer.

Alcoholist (570) - Peoria, Illinois, USA - JAN 16, 2004
Actually better out of the can than in the bottle, the metallic taste adds character. Drinkable on a hot day if the beer is really cold.

MrRomero (1976) - Nolanville, USA - JAN 12, 2004
Bottle: Pours light yellow with thin head. No aroma and almost no flavor. A little hop and little malt flavor along with a tad bit of fruit. Avoid.

rodgar (14) - Mexico City, MEXICO - JAN 1, 2004
UPDATED: JAN 3, 2004 This is one of the cheapest, low quality, Mexican beers on the market right now. Not for the beer connoisseur but for the working-class masses.
