My least favourite of the Mexi beers I’ve tried. It seems like it tries the hardest of all Mexican beers to be a budweiser and still falls short of that. That is saying a lot! KAggie97 (3529) - Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA - MAR 19, 2005
If you ever find yourself in Boquillas, Mexico (across the border from Big Bend National Park), this is the soup d’jour. Costs $1 per can, and it goes well with the surroundings. madcow75 (426) - Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 14, 2005
Yellow color, white head that dimishes to nothing. Smells bad and has a bad corn taste to it. I usually go for Negra Modelo with Mexican food, but it’s not as readily available in this city. ukoolaid (580) - Amherst, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 11, 2005
Bottle. Light yelllow with quickly vanishing head. Aroma is not bad actually, with sweet corn. Taste is crap, as you would expect, but when I was unimployed lliving in San Diego this beer was cheaper than water....thus I got to know it very well. Higher overall marks for getting me drunk so many times. mephisto (1288) - TAIWAN - MAR 6, 2005
well, it’s a bit better than corona. but that doesn’t say much. i respect the previous rater’s emotional tie to it. but i as an outsider, i’ll just say that it’s better than taiwanese beer. cheers.

UPDATED: JAN 28, 2008 This beer sucks bad......with beer this bad head for the border sooner rather than later. Hansen (8595) - Assentoft, DENMARK - FEB 21, 2005
Standard lager. The world is full of this type. Not very interesting. Not much aroma, flavor an inch to the sweet side. zzzzz... JonMoore (2067) - Loughborough, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - FEB 20, 2005
Bottle. Pale yellow, thin head, watery, metallic and corn tasting. Had it at Sadies, Albuquerque with some excellent New Mexican food; it was still rubbish. antisnobJP (275) - St. Michael, Minnesota, USA - FEB 17, 2005
Bottle. Slightly perfumey fizze pale lager with a watery consistency. Probably needs either a lime or some Mexican food, on its own it’s crap.
