Bottle. Dark brown, small to average fully diminishing light brown head. Moderate malty and sweetish aroma, some dark bread with roasted malt. Body is medium, lightly sweetish flavor with roasted malt and chocolate, faint bitterness. Finish is average and malty, roasted malt and some chocolate. Decent bodied 4,7% dark ale without any of those horrible Xmas spices. lusikka (7819) - Tampere, FINLAND - NOV 13, 2010

Pours a very dark brown colour with a beige, foamy head. Aroma of sweet roasted malts, brown sugar and hay. Flavour of chocolate, roasted malts, mild hoppiness and pine needles. Medium bodied, smooth carbonation. Dryish finish with some bitterness. Sweet brew for the winter season and for the Christmas table too.
Dark ruby brown, creamy beige head. Nose is plain milk chocolate, silky, very sweet, not getting much else. Flavor has same chocolate, though a tad more artificial, little roast and milkiness, faint coarse bitterness. Nearly medium bodied, really smooth palate and thick palate for the ABV. I like this in all it’s simplicity, just a very easy chocolate brew. Russo (2011) - Hemhofen, GERMANY - JAN 10, 2010
UPDATED: JAN 11, 2010 Thanks Matti, Fatphil and Anna to take me there. Dark one with a thin red, aroma is pure chocolate, amazing!!, flavor is the same, like a dark chocolate with 80% coccoa. Mouthfeel is dry but long with balanced bitterness and sweetness. Really nice. SaintMatty (7476) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - NOV 18, 2009
Draught (Teerenpeli, Helsinki) - Dark brown with a small head. Chocolatey aroma, reminiscent of a cup of warm hot chocolate. Rich and chocolatey taste with chocolate cake and a fair amount of sweetness. Drinkable, but it gets a bit sickly after a while. JK54B (1602) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAR 1, 2009
