maeib (8749) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - JAN 21, 2005
Bottled. A chestnut brown coloured dunkel with little head. The aroma is on the thin side with only a little nuttiness. The taste is also thin with only a little caramel and nut coming through. I thought it seemed too cold (drank @ The Criterion Leicester) and maybe suffered for that? But not a good dunkel.

50 cl bottle (5,0%), BBE 27.06.2012
Aroma is roasted and somewhat stale with malt, some chocolate and coffee. Flavour is dry with roasted malt, nuts, some coffee and semi-dark chocolate. Nice.

jonas (7985) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - MAR 22, 2008
Bottle. Very aromatic herb nose - rosmarin, lavendar on sweet malt. Golden brown, off-white cream. Medium to light malt base, light nutty roast and molassis, fruity notes - wellpackaged. Could be a bit more chewy - a bit light on the finish, subtle hop notes retronasal.

ogivlado (7955) - Zagreb, CROATIA - FEB 23, 2010
Bottled 500ml. -from beerangel.de shared with Doggythedog.
Darker amber coloured, small off-white head, weak notes of nuts in the nose. Mild roasted malt, milk chocolate and caramel with light coffee notes in rather sweet finish. All in all could be better.

was disappointed by this. had an overwhelming immediate brown sugar taste that was hard to disregard in order to appreciate other flavours. and it was flat and lame

Radek Kliber (7470) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - JUN 15, 2016
Where and how: Bottle 500ml
Aroma: front faulted with heavy feel of butterscotch, behind darker malts. Flawed.
Appearance :
Top: medium white top.
Base: amber, amber-gold, rather light for dunkel.
Palate : nice feel to it, medium body. Delicate carbonation.
Taste: rounded character, mild nutty hints, mellow and tasty. This would be rather solid if not fir DMS.

Borresteijn (7400) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - APR 3, 2014
50cl, not sure if bottled or draft. Clear amber-brown colour, light-beige head. Aroma of caramel, toast, hint of roasted malts, medium sweet. Flavour is likewise, burnt caramel, light metallic note, light-bitter finish. Light-bodied, soft carbonation. Nice enough.

swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - SEP 30, 2008
Bottle @ Wiesengrund Restaurant, Munich. Pours a dark cola color. Roasted malt & wheaty aroma. Sweeter sugary taste. Slight cola flavor. Medium body. OK

2.9
McTapps (6954) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - JAN 20, 2013
Bottle shared with MichaelBruch. Clear dark amber in colour with a very low head and thin body. Taste of brown sugar, basmati rice, caramel, burnt nuts and roasted almonds. Hints of malt and hops. Quite easy to drink but little bit too boring and dull.
