.5L bottle - Shared w/ SkyCop32. Picked up at Maruhn Getränke in Darmstadt. Pours a nice dark brown. Aroma of malt, nuts, hops. Tastes malty, with some hops and roasty hints.

Light dunkel with very little head, but enough. Malty aroma, with a fizzy tasting fresh flavour. The beer lacks any real depth but it fits the key criteria of refreshing perfectly.

Amber color with big beige head. Aroma is rusty metal, caramel. Taste is similar, not too complex. Dry. Not particularly good, but ok.

50cl bottle bought in Bavaria, pours mahogany with a fluffy lasting off-white head and aromas of malt, a little peach and toffee. Nutty and toffee on the palate with roast caramel. A nice dunkel.

Bottle at the Criterion, Leicester. I was disappointed with this product. Slightly bland Dunkel. Smooth, clean choc, but can’t escape from the fact that it’s lagered and is very quick and ckean. I still like drinking stuff like this this, but it’s just not a great beer.

rauchbier (3882) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - FEB 16, 2003
Bottled. Bronze colour, good off white head and nice level of fine, natural condition. Aromas of sweet malt tinged with roast barley, some hop notes and a handfull of crystal malt. Mainly roasted malt and caramel in the mouth and a relatively brief finish with a touch of roast coffee and a delicate hoppiness

tommann (3716) - Dudley, West Midlands, ENGLAND - MAY 18, 2017
500ml bottle. Pours dark reddy brown with a large head. Aroma is dusty coffee and cola. Taste has cola to start. Yeasty coffee finish.

[bottle] Potent breadcrust and sherry-like nutty aroma that is nearly pungent. Clear chestnut appearance with a patchy, off-white top. Flavour is sherry-like nutty with tons of bread crust and a hint of cardboard. Balance is on the sweet side, but this beer would not be better if it were more bitter. Quite decent, for style. Medium body, moderate carbonation, slightly tangy nutty finish.

k0mpsa (2925) - Tuusula, FINLAND - APR 10, 2016
Tap at vi vadi, munich. Clear copper color, white head. Aroma has sweet roasty notes, malts. Balanced roasty taste, suryp notes and raisins.
