Draught at Kopfeck. Clear brown with a big creamy head. Sweet bready malt aroma with a sweet crusty edge. Some dryer toasty malt in the flavor but more on the sweet rounder side of malty. Light bodied and relatively dry in the finish moreso due to attenuation than melamoidins. Not that bold but a reasonable balance. Shaney (2423) - Köln / Cologne, GERMANY - DEC 28, 2012
Erfrischend und vollmundig zugleich; geschmacklich auf der malzigen Seite. Schlicht und ergreifend gelungen!

Pours dark copper colored with high, fine off-white head. Smell has lots of sweet malts and caramel. Aroma is very caramelly, slight sweet with raisins, soft woody. Middle part is slight hoppy bitter, with some caramel, toffee and butter. Goes into a wooden malty finish with toffee and some sweet chocolate.
Very malty with a bit of caramel, cocoa, and nutty flavors. Smooth, not very full. JonMoore (2067) - Loughborough, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - SEP 5, 2004
Bottle from Beers of Europe. Hazy bronze colour, with thin off-white head. Malty aroma with some hop notes. Light, with a roated malt flavour, easy drinking.
Thinish, foamy mouthfeel. Lightly carbonated. Sweetish, with a quick, sweet , slightly hoppy finish.
A fair dunkel.

500ml bottle: poured clear light brown with ruby notes. Smallish off white head. Mild roasted malt aroma and light fruit notes. Very mild malt in the flavor with a little bit of fruit. Maybe some cherries. Pretty thin overall but easily drinkable. weaselkenievil (1608) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAY 8, 2009
Bottle. Amber / brown with small beige head. Smooth and creamy palate. Little sugar, malts and a bit cakey if you know what I mean. If you don’t try some our kid. It’s nice. prawlie (1592) - Berkshire, ENGLAND - JUL 25, 2014
On tap at Tegernsee Braustubl. Orange-brown, cloudy copper with a creamy head. Light chocolate malt, good substantial flavour. Smells heavily of malt, with a hint of gravy. Easy drinking but lacks flair. StueyD (1583) - Heacham, Norfolk, ENGLAND - JAN 19, 2013
A dark amber brown coloured wet with a weak white head. A roasted malt aroma, yeasty and a touch meaty! Medium and fizzy mouthfeel. A medium light taste of roasted malt, nutty and yeasty, then a faint sourness in the background comes through and takes over in the finish. Bottle from Fristo Getränkemarkt, Freising, Germany. Clear copper with almost no head. Aroma is roast and a tiny hint of metal (not as bad as this sounds, as it is almost not there). Taste misses the deeper notes, only a light bitterness with not much diversity. Texture is really light as well, not watery, but almost. Overall still ok, but I will probably not buy it again soon.
