Fabulous Helles. Up there with Edelstoff. Pours a lovely effervescent light gold with a gorgeous clarity. The taste is of honey and meadows. Fresh, rich, and initially sweet but with a lemony citrus bite. Nice a soft mouthfeel, with a lingering bitterness which balances out the honey beautifully. Incredible beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

My favourite Helles till date. Easily drinkable with a slight honey like taste and nice micro bubbles.

Served from keg, with bubbly bubbles (OK, carbonic acid) that get in the way of appreciating the light, simple thing beneath. Sticky whit foam over bright golden beer. Sweet fresh grain nose, light spicy bitterness, mild honey-grain sweetness. Bit of tang from the carbonation, sparkly. Refreshing but fizzes up the nectar. Would like to have it vom holzfass but still this is a fine, comforting thing, not quite with the character of an Augustiner. If you appreciate Helles you should appreciate this one; if you find Helles samey and boring then you’ll find the same here.

Potentially my favourite Helles. Clear yellow with foamy white head. Barley, floral hops, hay, maybe toast. A little bitter, but not too much, very drinkable, very good

Flasche. Goldgelb, klar, wenig Schaum. Frisches Aroma, Zitrus, Hopfen. Voller Antrunk, leicht würzig, etwas bitter, eher mildes Helles

2/21/2010 11:07:15 AM Bottle from Cracked Kettle. Light golden body with medium head. Malty nose. Plenty of taste of corn, wheats and malts. Dry texture. Syrupy flavour. Nice one.

Farbe: Helles klares Gold Schaum: mittel, bleibt immer was da.
