Reviewed 2/24/13. Thanks to Momar42 for this German curiosity! 500ml bottle into a nonic pint glass. A: Pours a very pale straw color featuring excellent carbonation. The head is a two finger whIte color. It fades at a moderate clip, and leaves nice patches of lacing going down. S: It’s a typical aroma for the style - lots of grassy hops, unobtrusive malts, and some diacetyl. I’d say the latter is a bit more prevalent than I’d like, but a fairly good aroma otherwise. T: At first, the buttery diacetyl presence (just like in the aroma) comes fairly strongly. Luckily, it smooths out into nicely crisp, hoppy bite on the finish. Some slight fruitiness will try to build up, as well. Not ultra interesting, but about what I expect from the style. M: Light and crisp to be sure - but sadly the finish and aftertaste isn’t as dry as I’d like here. For that reason, it lacks great drinkability. It’s got good carbonation, at least. O: Not bad. I’d say this one is a notch or two below the best of the style, though. Worth a try.

Amber, bright, clean, effervescent. Little head. Soft body. Malt presence is OK, but I'd prefer more of the grassy, herbal nose that better beers of this style bring.

On draft at Kopps restaurant in Berlin. Meh. Not one of my better choices while in town.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear pale yellow, white foam head. Weak in aroma and taste, typical for this style, but quite refreshing. Like it. (Velp 201708)
