Reviewed 2/24/13. Thanks to Momar42 for this German curiosity! 500ml bottle into a nonic pint glass. A: Pours a very pale straw color featuring excellent carbonation. The head is a two finger whIte color. It fades at a moderate clip, and leaves nice patches of lacing going down. S: Its a typical aroma for the style - lots of grassy hops, unobtrusive malts, and some diacetyl. Id say the latter is a bit more prevalent than Id like, but a fairly good aroma otherwise. T: At first, the buttery diacetyl presence (just like in the aroma) comes fairly strongly. Luckily, it smooths out into nicely crisp, hoppy bite on the finish. Some slight fruitiness will try to build up, as well. Not ultra interesting, but about what I expect from the style. M: Light and crisp to be sure - but sadly the finish and aftertaste isnt as dry as Id like here. For that reason, it lacks great drinkability. Its got good carbonation, at least. O: Not bad. Id say this one is a notch or two below the best of the style, though. Worth a try.

Ugh, papery aroma. However, is past BB. But this is a desperately thin watery beer. Very pale, brief head. Simple sweet corny malts, some light bitterness tingles on the tongue. Malty, a bit papery, a bit drying, finish.

500ml bottle (some random place, Berlin). BB17.09.2016. Very pale yellow color. Small size, white head, stays. Sweet, malty, grainy, bit of caramel and grassy hops in aroma. Dusty, moldy, grainy, malty in taste. Moldy and some grassy hops in aftertaste. Dirty and moldy, papery mouthfeel. Watery and thin. I wish it was fresher.

Bottled - Clear pale yellow colour, medium and quite stable white head. Clean malty aromas with bread, crushed grains and some flowery hops. Taste is well rounded malty with bread and cereals, subtle hop bitterness. Light body, medium carbonation, crisp mouthfeel, dry malty finish. Well rounded malty lager, really good.
