Veer's rating

   AROMA 5/10   APPEARANCE 2/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 13/20
Veer (362) - Landskrona, - NOV 7, 2009
Aroma: fresh hops, nice & classical, grassy. Light malt. Well balanced but not interesting.
Flavour: Nice, grassy, slightly sweet malt. Very good for being a pale lager. Slight sourishness. Full-bodied. Full & beery aftertaste.
Apperance: piss yellow clear body w/ white typical foam. Nothing out of the ordinary.
Palate: soft, classical. Slightly thick & slimy.
Not bad at all. Very beery. Light but not watery.

From the bottle (Supermarket). Clear golden color with white head (instable). Aroma has nice bready malt and a light fresh hoppiness. Not bad, but also not very well

Towey1989 (2720) - Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 30, 2017
Bottle at Beerdock Leek. Pours a clear golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma of grain, lemon, some white bread, slight grass and subtle herbal hops. Taste of grain, white bread, lemon, some cereal malts, slight grass and subtle herbal hops. Light to medium bodied and moderate carbonation. A dry, herbal hop bitterness in the finish. A dry, herbal hop finish, but for a german lager, grainy like a German lager should be but crisp, refreshing and flavourful. Good.

Heidelbeer (38) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAY 6, 2017
White, medium sized, almost creamy, quickly disappearing head. Beer is clear golden, lots of sparkling carbonation. Aroma reminds me a lot of apple juice, pilsner hop, fresh and fruity with a sweet scent. Flavor is pretty much the same as the Aroma profile but less intense. Finish is medium intense and average long, while its decent malty sweet with a low hoppy bitterness. Carbonation is despite my observation flat to soft. Like this it’s an easy drinkable beer that is straight forward, round and okay/good but the same time nothing exciting.

Theydon_Bois (19200) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - JAN 21, 2017
Keg at GBBF ’16, day two, 10/08/16. Clear golden blonde with a well appointed white cap. Nose is pale malts, bready tones, vanilla. Taste comprises corn, light caramel, straw, toasted grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough clean helles.

Grumpelmies (318) - North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JAN 5, 2017
Bottle. Clear pale yellow. Decent head and lacing. Aroma and taste are earthy, bready, grassy, grainy and spicy. Almost no hoppy bitterness. Medium carbonation. Balanced and solid. Clean, creamy and crisp. Helles will probably never be my favourite style but I’m happy to enjoy one or two (or three...) once in a while.

PowY (714) - AUSTRIA - NOV 20, 2016
500 ml bottle. Pours a clear golden with a white head. Malty aroma of gains. Medium body with a lively carbonation, a light sweetness and a light bitterness. The flavor is moderately malty, grains, biscuit along with a light hoppy bitterness.

rozsoma (1010) - Gyõr, HUNGARY - OCT 25, 2016
Micsoda egy erős helles! Vollbock! Afféle fiatal baksör, mondhatni gidabier avagy gödölye?

Scopey (14523) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 10, 2016
Keg at GBBF 2016. It pours crystal clear gold with a small white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, doughy malt, bread, creamy and butter. The taste is smooth, sweet, creamy, white bread and butter, custard, cereal, straw, grass and paper with a short, sweet finishm medium body and soft carbonation. A bit sweet and creamy. Fair.
