T42 tasting on me Birfaday. Hazy amber beer, thin pale tan head. Palate is light, dry and has decent fine carbonation. Nice light sourness tempered by a light candy sherbet. Tart dried fruits. Winey tang. LIght finish. Tasty and easy drinking.
September 2016 - Bottle share at One Canada Square. As ’Telegraph Obscura Vulpine’, 5.9%. Many thanks to Kenny for this one. Orange brown, hazy, opaque, foamy tan head. Aroma is red berries, red wine, musty, rhubarb. Body is light, spritzy carbonation, smooth. Taste is lime, sherbet, mint leaf, touch grassy, light acidity. Good. Bottle shared at the level 42 tasting 7/9/2016. Many thanks to Kenny for this one. A dirty hazed reddy amber coloured pour with a sticky halo of beige head. Aroma is sour, funky lacto, caramac bar, spicy apple, sweet malts. Flavour is composed of puckering sour woody, tangy, granny Smith apple, grainy . Seriously sour. Rough round the edges. Palate is super sour, moderate carbonation, tangy, grainy. Meh.

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Kenworth. Pours unclear ruby with a creamy, off-white head. The nose has lots of acetic bite, ripe berries, lemon. Light sweet flavour with notes of leather, lemon juice, light vinegar, berries, drying wood. Light to medium bodied with spritzy carbonation. Bottle thanks to the birthday boy. It pours hazy deep red - brown with a small beige head. The aroma is vinous, tangy, balsamic vinegar, red berry skin, funky, vanilla, toasted coconut and fruit pie. The taste is dry, tart, woody, vinous, some acidity, red berry, sherbet, Granny Smith apple, celery and wood with a drying, milky astringent finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Lightly hazed amber with a reddish glint, topped with a decent beige head.
Nose is tangy dark fruits, vinous, spice, varnish, light vinegar strokes.
Taste comprises soured fruits, spice, fruit balsams, vinegar notes, acidic, oaky wood pissoi, stewed fruits.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close, rising acidic bite and a puckering finale.

Aroma is complex, red wine, oaky, lactic sour, with a bit of funk in the finish. Taste is oaky Woody with a dry tannic finish, has dry cherry, red wine and probably 70/30 lactic to funky sour. Sour maybe 5 of 10 sour. Good amount of sourness. Palate sometimes feels a bit light for how flavorful and complex the beer is, and occasionally feels like it lacks a little balance. But overall a very complex sour red/brown with some great flavors.
