COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This intensely sour "wild ale" recalls the earliest rustic beers crafted centuries ago before brewers had an understanding of controlled fermentation. Brewed with the addition of lemon verbena, as well as lactobacillus and brettanomyces. Telegraph Reserve Wheat is an all-together different beast from modern beer. Not for the faint of heart, this special brew is available in extremely limited quantities.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of wavers1. Pours a clear pale yellow with a lively white head leaving a little lacework. Dry tartness in the nose - and coriander?? Light body, dry indeed, a little fruity but again these strange perfumy coriander notes - oh I see, it’s gonna be the lemon verbana, whatever that is. Ends dry but not overly tart. Refreshing, but not really to style. 290311

The great ChrisO pre GBBF gathering. Bright clear paleish gold beer, thin pale cream colour head - short lived. Palate is light and dry, reasonable carbonation. Tangy sourish fruits. Sour lemon. Modest floralness. Dry finish. A lot more sour than I was expecting.
