2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Tap at Congregation. Slightly hazy apple-juice body right for pale ale with one-finger head dissolving in less than five minutes leaving no lacing. Aroma very light, sour, rotting straw. Bitter taste up front with mild sour finish. Very light overall. Extra point for rye.
On draft. Fizzy, slightly sweet. The rye comes through as bready grapefruit. Odd. Not a huge success, but entertaining. joshwoodward (575) - - JUL 30, 2013
Had a sample in a flight at Mohawk Bend. A little generic and lacking in rye character, but tasty and refreshing. brokensail (16689) - Dublin, California, USA - APR 24, 2013
Hazed golden orange pour with a white head. Bready malt, some rye, and a good grapefruit aroma. Nice and citric. Some hints of pineapple, herbs, pine, and floral hops, too. The flavor is a bit sweet with some light hop bitterness. Grapefruit, pine, and some woody herbal notes. Lightly floral, bready, and hints of rye. On tap at House of 1000 Beers. Pours a clear orange with a thin white head. Aroma of sweet bready malt, floral hops. Flavor of pale malts, jam, fruity hops, light citrus. Smooth, easy drinking, light pale. Easy on the rye though, it’s well hidden, just a bitter rye spice in the finish.

I had this on tap at Telegraph Brewing. This is a nice session ale. Good citrus hoppiness, with rye notes make this light/medium bodied beer pretty tasty. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - FEB 16, 2012

Draft at Churchkey. Hazy golden color, large thick cream colored head, slid lacing. Aroma of pine > grass > light spice. Taste is very bitter and lager like. chawkfan (29) - USA - FEB 14, 2012

Draught at TJ’s: Aroma of malt, grain, Earth, and a hint of hops. Poured amber in color with a tiny, off-white head that diminished but lasted throughout as a film on top of the beer. Hazy. Not sparkling. Flavor is medium bitter and slightly spicy. Tastes of rye, grain, Earth, and malt. Medium body. Tingly, then lightly dry texture. Average carbonation. Malt, rye. Earth finish is lightly dry.
