Bottle sample at a tasting at zvsn's place. Thanks zvsn and rayaron. Hazy orange, white head. Orange, cookie, a bit of ginger, vanilla, bourbon, malt, caramel, sweet, alcohol, very bitter, medium-bodied. So-so. Not really my thing. 90 (883) - BELGIUM - DEC 7, 2017

Aroma is Bourbon and orange zest. Taste is malty but way too wry bitterness. Aftertaste is also very bitter. 'Fat' palate.

Taste: bit malty, grains, bitter touch, some apples, citrus, alcohol, bit floral. Aftertaste: bitter, hoppy, floral, resinous, alcohol. Decent stuff.

Keg at The Southern. Hazy golden body with a thin off-white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of honey, wood and marmalade. Flavour of orange rind, ginger beer and syrup. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. A serious, sophisticated beer. I’m not usually keen on whisky/bourbon-barrel-aged beers, but it seems to have been well judged here. kraddel (9170) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - DEC 1, 2017
Tap at beerlovers bar. Craftnight 3 : Tempest . Pours rather unclear darker amberblonde. Small white head. Smell is plain sweet bourbon booze. Very buttery bourbon sweetness ( no diacethyl ) taste is sharp, buttery bourbon sweetness, some boozyness. Too much barrel In The taste. The whole feels a bit like a mess. Not my fav . Also, as a sidenote ( not influencing the score ) why the hell would you wax a beer you need to drink fresh ???? Scrumpy369 (959) - Budapest, HUNGARY - NOV 22, 2017
