TEJA (3256) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUN 26, 2017
Bottle from Systembolaget, Sweden. No head. Dark red-brown color that goes towards black. Chocolate aroma in medium strength and a slight smokey tuch. Starts up mild and chocolate but after a few sips the chipotle starts to make its presents known. I would like it in small bottle but not moore than a half pint. A bit sweet finish.

Backlog rating. 50cl bottle from trade thanks to McNeill. It pours a clean brown color with a small tan head. Aroma is roasty and nutty, with notes of earth, coffee beans, light peppery vegetables, biscuit. Taste is roasty and lightly bitter with notes of toasted bread, earth, coffee beans, peppers, dried leaves. Finish is earthy, dry with some burn from the peppers. Overall, tasty porter with peppers not overdone

Bottle, thnx to MannyGoldberg. Pours a pitch black beer with a small beige head on top. Aroma is rather dusty, spicey, touch of caramel and roasted coffee. Pepper is defintely noticeable in the aroma. Flavor starts off sweet, roasty and chocolate. Pepper hits you in the final part of the flavor, light peppery burn that lingers on in the background. No real disturbing pepper flavors, just a nice subtle hint that it’s there. Thin, slightly watery body, low carbonation level, but overal a nice, decent beer with a nice balance between pepper and porter. Nice one!

"Chipotle Porter" bottle from Coppers, Newcastle. This is an extremely dark brown beer with ruby red highlights. It has chocolate and smoked flavours, coffee notes followed by a spicy warming chilli finish. Excellent!

Keg at Pelt Trader, Cannon Street, London. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a thin beige head on top. Chocolate, spice, smokey aroma. Tastes of spice, some chocolate, slightly smokey with a nice amount of chipotle/chilli at the end. Nice porter from the excellent Tempest.

2.9
jamestulloch (4327) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 13, 2014
Bottle from The Beerhive. Black body with a thin beige head. Light lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate, wood smoke and orange. Flavour of chili pepper, espresso and chocolate. Thin body with an oily texture. Soft carbonation fizz. My spice tolerance with curry is pretty high, but not so with beer, seemingly. Too harsh and spicy for my liking.
