Tasting at ChrisO’s. Opaque dark brown beer, tidy pale tan head. Light crisp palate. Crispy minerals. Bittersweet dark malt. The dark malt is quite mild but has a cherry sweetness. Finishes dry with a touch of hop. Not bad.

Bottle of moreLLo Cresta from Coppers, Newcastle. A black beer that pours with a thin tan head. It has a spicy red fruity (cherry?) and chocolate flavour with vanilla notes and slight roasted finish. dantheman278 (1361) - SCOTLAND - JAN 16, 2013
Bottle at home. Dark brown black, thick foamy fizzy beige head. Metallic grain nose, touch of nuttiness, some sort of berry fruit that could be cherry but not quite, nice cocoa dark chocolate going on too. Creamy, just a touch of sweetness, big roast backbone, I really don’t get any cherry. Slightly tangy sour thing, but not in a completely nice way. Bitter charcoal finish. Not great, I’ve been pretty disappointed with Tempest recently, hope they up their game this year.
