Flat looking golden ale with a full tropical fruit aroma, but more of a bitterness for its taste. zimbo (961) - SCOTLAND - OCT 11, 2012
UPDATED: JUL 15, 2013 Cask at the Blue Blazer dispensed via Scottish air pressure, no sparkler.
Pours with a big beautiful beaming head. Gorgeous clear clean pure orange copper sparkle. Bready on the nose and very clean but big and morishly biscuity in the mouth and on the tongue. Dry with very little if any residual sweetness.
The perfect example of a classic cask pale ale with a twist of the modern which steers well away from bland, twig water, big, the extreme or stupid. The balance and taste are moderate but completely tastily dominant.
Truly excellent. Dr_Butty (87) - SCOTLAND - SEP 8, 2012
Bottle from drinkmonger. Pours deep golden, white head. Fruity hop aromas. Predominant flavours from citric hops, orange and grapefruit. Clean bitterness, but not overpowering, extends to the finish. Delicious stuff.
