On tap at the brewery. Very tasty. Aromas of nuts, smoke, leaves, coriander, and cookies. Taste is sweet, with light sourness, and average length. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Dark yellow, with a frothy head. bluevegie (3073) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUN 29, 2012
Tried at Temple brewery. Very drinkable though to me it was more weissbier than smoked as the smoke characters were there only if you were looking for them. hawthorne00 (4028) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - MAY 12, 2012
Tap at GABS. Opaque cloudy orange with a thick white head. Aroma of sweet dough, vanilla, lemon, cloves, some banana. No obvious smoke. Somewhat bready, but light-bodied and refreshing. Slightly sweet with a wheaty/ lemony tang. Remarkably like the Weihenstephan Hefe. Right at the end there’s a slightly smoked woody note. A bit more smoke would have been interesting, but really very impressive.
