Draught at Fiebre de Malta, Mexico City. Hazy chocolate brown, small head. Salty and lightly earthy. Medium-full bodied with clean, rounded mouthfeel. Salted chocolate and grass, some grass. The imperialization of their altbier seems to have resulted in diluted the flavours but blowing up the body like a baloon. Salty bitterish finish, OK, but too clean - and quite diappointing after their regular Altbier.

Bottle. Pours mrky reddish brown with very small frothy beige head, faint caramel aroma, low carbonation, slightly sweet caramelized malt taste, thin body, abrupt finish with little coffee aftertaste. A bit watery, not too good.

Clear brassy golden, no real head. Nose is spicy copper and nutty. Initial taste is nutty pasticy sweet - fairly straightforward thanks to a busy carbonation. Bit sticky mouthfeel, bit overly sweet finish. Linger is rakes of hazelnuttyness and crappy digestive biscuit. dryness.

Bottle, Cornelius, Swilcan Bridge Tasting
