UPDATED: DEC 30, 2013 Tap at Monte Carlo Pub in Vegas. Clear yellow-orange pour with a nice clingy white head. Citrus and floral hop aroma. Taste is floral hop with a strong bitter bite late. DuffMan (10435) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 29, 2012
Bottle. Medium golden colour, slightly hazy, average white foam cap. Fairly typical West Coast-style IPA with nice grapefruity hop character and an assertive bitter finish. I actually liked this better than the Monsoon. alexsdad06 (10430) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 22, 2011
Bottle. Pours a golden orange color with a medium sized off white head. The nose is floral, citrus and mild pine with some lightly sweet pale maltiness in the background. The flavor has a moderate caramel malt base with ample amounts of grapefruit citrus, pine and spicy hops. Although this had pieces that I thought were nice, they didn’t work together for me. Maybe this would be better at the brewery. 77ships (9828) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAR 7, 2017
Thank you tderoeck! 355 ml. can sampled. Orange, creamy white head. Nose is nice pine hop oil, resin, low pineapple, nice malt presence. Taste is big hop, oily pine resin, decent malt, lightly caramel, lightly metallic sadly. Body is malty, lightly metallic. A bit mellow / possible older but overall pretty nice. tderoeck (9730) - Gent, BELGIUM - MAR 21, 2017

Clear orange beer, creamy off-white irregular head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet malts, caramel, bit sugary, fruity, touch. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: malty, caramel, pretty bitter, grassy, dry, some grapefruit, bit metallic, little sweet. Aftertaste: malty, very bitter, resinous, bit metallic, some caramel, bit of tropical fruits, dry finish, piny touch. Well, I didn’t get a new state tick, but at least I gave 3 other a new state tick. :p
22oz bottle, purchased for $6 from the Athens, OH Kroger. ABV was listed as 7.2%. Half hazy golden yellow color, thin white head, leaving respectable lace. Light and crisp carbonation, but kind of oily. Hops are a bit on the malty sweet side. No date on this bottle that I can find. This doesn’t taste very fresh. It lacks that nice, fresh hop herbal taste, but it’s not bad. Beyond the malty sweetness, there’s a light bitterness. I’m sure this is way better on tap. On the actual label, "dry-hopped" is spelled as "dry-hoped", "floral bouquet" is spelled as "floral boquet" bb (9268) - Alamo, California, USA - NOV 5, 2010
Draft. Amber beer with a cream colored head. Grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and light caramel flavor with light earth and light pine. Medium bodied. Some bitterness. Grapefruit and light earth lingers with light caramel and light pine. douglas88 (9188) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 25, 2011
Bottle (bomber) at the Beerhive. Pours a cloudy orange color with a medium white head. A very nice fruity and pine nose, the citrus hops are strong. A nice flavor as well; robust hops, bitterness throughout, pine, a light toasted malt background. Very nice, between a IIPA and IPA. b3shine (8874) - Indiana, USA - MAY 9, 2012
Bottle to snifter (thanks, Tom). Looks fine; burnt-orange with lots of head. Smells okay; grass and onions. Tastes Better than it smells; not great, but good balance. Mouthfeel is good. Decent. Erzengel (8754) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - FEB 27, 2014
Many thanks to Stefan SD for this 650 ml bottle.
Golden in the glass, slightly sweet and very intense hoppy in the nose. The beer starts much more bitter than expected. Only slightly sweet in the background. The intense bitter note lies over all - also nearly no floral hop aroma, as the nose predicts. The aftertaste is long, intense-bitter, smooth.
Probably not the freshest bottle, as I miss any of the floral hop aroma. But not bad at all - a decent very bitter brew! --> 12/10/12/11
