tmoreau (4160) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - JUN 14, 2016
On tap at the Umami Burger Beer Garden & Sports Book bar in SLS Las Vegas, shaker served showing a hazed, golden hue, with a frothy layer of soft white head foam, and wavy cling to the lacing. The nose was soft grain/wheat, a hint of husk, and a subtle note of citrus. Light to medium bodied, with appropriate carbonation, the taste was similar, with modest bitterness that was lightly earthy, with a hint of pepper, and pleasant dryness that lingered into the finish. Alcohol was negligible, but posted as 4.6%. Clean & refreshing.

Sampled at GABF 2015 in Denver. In the tasting glass this was clear gold with a white cap of foam. Nose of light fruit with bit of citrus. Light to medium in body. Flavor is big on the light fruit and there is a hint of floral hops. Finish is crisp and dry and this is very much to style and enjoyable drinking. A winner.

Dogbrick (12596) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - SEP 1, 2014
Sample at the brewpub. Clear pale golden color with a medium white head that evaporates quickly to a film. Spotty lacing. Aroma of fruit, hops and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of grassy hops, fruit and bready malt. The finish is fruity with a short mild hops aftertaste. Average overall.

***On tap at the Freakin Frog Nov 2008***
Palest of yellow gold with a bright white cap, good retention and 360 deg lacing. The aroma has lemon and apricots with dusty grass. Is this supposed to be some sort of fusion Wit? Super light, watery bitterness... too much bitterness I think, weak citrus and not much more really. Medium light body, no carbonation, dry and finishes with a super watery malt. This was a waste of money.

Draught at the brewpub
Pale blond color. Some aroma of paper. Quite poor Lager, only at times a light crispy touch appear. Useless.

Pretty solid beer. Looks right. Flavor is definitely light, but refreshing. Actually not all that crisp, and a little thin in the finish, but certainly easy light drinking.

On tap @ Tenaya Creek poured a clear pale yellow with a small lasting white head. Aromas of bread, yeast and lemon. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of bread and light citrus with a crisp clean finish.

Pale color, not much aroma, decent head. Very refreshing, a bit more flavorful than the average Kolsch, but still very true to style. Definitely a good summertime brew.

Typical Kolsch, a little watery for my liking though. Don’t even bother trying to drink this unless you’re in the drudges of Vegas’ frying hot summer, as then is when it will taste the best and be most refreshing..
