3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a clear golden amber colour with some spotty white head and a small ring around the glass leaving some lace. Aromas of german malt(vienna and pils), toasted malt. Flavours of german malt, some sweetness, noble hop presence, spicy, toasted malts and a dry minimal bitter finish.
22 oxz bomber from Total Wine. How this beer could miss so many marks is beyond me. Funky, musty aroma bordering on sour. taste is overly sweet malt, cooked vegetables. Just off and nasty all the way around. I had hoped for much better. 50belair (3670) - Florida, USA - OCT 20, 2014
On tap at the brewery. Clear yellow pour with a white head. Mild lager bouquet. Nice malty notes dominate. Light and and refreshing. slowrunner77 (12471) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 23, 2014
"Suckered into this premium price beer (for a marzen anyway 40 cents an ounce is a bit much) because I’m wanting to try EVERY new Oktoberfest beer I see this year. This was ok, but not a great traditional example of the style. Not very rich and a little too bitter. In the end, the toasted malts and caramel were pleasant, but it wasn’t enough." thorongil2 (3260) - , Ontario, CANADA - SEP 9, 2014
(bottle) clear orange amber colour with a medium tall white head; aroma of stewed fruit, then honey; somewhat unusual, intense flavour- bit chemical, with a long medium bitter finish Caytinator (1005) - Waco, Texas, USA - MAR 29, 2014
Pint on tap. Dark gold color, clear, light head. Aroma is disappointing, not what I was expecting for the style, kind of flat. Taste is confused, I think this beer has an identity crisis--it’s simultaneously a not good example of the style and not good in general. I don’t know what it is, frankly. Hoppy but not fresh really. Get a Paulaner Oktoberfest Märzen instead.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has bread through out that grows in sweetness with a bit of cereal. Flavor is a combination of bread and cereal that are slightly sweet. UncleKorm (1330) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - SEP 27, 2013
On tap at brewery poured a clear amber hue w/ med fully diminishing white head. Medium malty aromas. Initial flavor light sweet w/ a med bitter finish. Tastes are bread, caramel, and rye. Creamy mouthfeel and a dryness in the finish.

A lightly hazed golden marzen with a thick white head. In aroma, crisp grassy malt with light fruity notes, OK. In mouth, a nice crisp biscuit malt with fruity esters, good Saaz hopping, light solvent notes, decent. On tap at brewery. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - SEP 5, 2013
Sampler flight on tap at the brewery (Las Vegas, NV). Pours a nice crisp orange gold hue, near transparent with some gentle frothy offwhite head. Dies to a ring, laces ok. Aromas are gentle sweetness, vienna malts meet a gentle toastiness, touches of carmelization, and gentle earthy hop, spice. Odd cereal raisin play I get sometimes. Initial is lighter end of the fold, cereal and straw, gentle carmelization. Earthy hops, gentle spiciness. Gets more dry. Middle is a bit toasty, carmelized and bready. A bit plain and predictable, but quite drinkable. Backend is a bit dry and faint metallic and grassy twang. Not bad. Fantomasus (291) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - AUG 29, 2013
Pours a cloudy amber with an off white head that dissipates. Aroma is nice, probably the beers best characteristic... Very fresh. Notes of: caramel malt, spruce and hop resin, earthy yeast, some alcohol, and hints of butterscotch, clove, and vanilla. Taste is fine and fairly balanced, mostly sour/bitter with a nod towards sweetness. Lingering bitter finish. One of Teneya’s better offerings.
