3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The nose is citrus with a hint of pine. The taste starts with mild grapefruit citrus, tea, soft bitterness. Faint pine, and malt come next with florals and toasted in the finish.
Is my first Tenaya Creek beer and I’m pretty happy with it, blah blah blah blah blah blah blah

Dark sorta murky copper color with a whispy head of white foam. Has a grapefruit find aroma with a definite caramel base cut by some grapefruit and pine needles. dnstone (3625) - Kansas City, Missouri, USA - DEC 4, 2015

Bottle. Golden and relatively light. Thin but well-bodied head. The aroma hints at a well-bodied monster, and the flavors deliver. Deflintely living up tot he 9% label, this has a pretty well rounded character of piney citrus and alcohol-laden burn underneath. "pours a somewhat dark hazy ornage, big fluffy head. aroma is a shot of hops at first, but that quickly fades to a sustained malty sweetness. not bad, but the hops are overpowered. same in the flavor, pine and sweet malt with a bittersweet finish. the thicker feel would work with a hoppier beer, but is just ok here. full bodied = nice, but a bit cloying. overall, a just above average beer, but a below average IIPA."

Bitter and big with a beautoful bright orange body and tons of sticky yellow head. The nose is fresh and piney with gobs of grapefruit and citrus aromas. Light toasted malts up front with citrus and caramel flavors. The finish is bitter and unrelenting dfearnley (2379) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 3, 2014
Bottle to tulip
Orange, grapefruit, mango, and cherry...lots of fruit.
Clear amber with a thin creamy off white head. Taste is grapefruit, some caramel, pine and spruce. The alcohol is masked well. VertBaconStrips (2422) - Blerkablerka, VENEZUELA - FEB 2, 2014
Drankin timez! Slammed into my crystal chalice - normally it’s filled with Hennessy but it was all poured down some ho’s booty last night. I’m ass out but found enough copper in the lot to git my head fixed. Gonna have ta slag dis mess. Biscuit, grapefruit, white pepper, citrus, steak spice - this stank is seriously lackin to git my hair up in a mess. Hard to hit up but heatin this up brings goodness forward. Holeeeeeeeee fucks!!!! 2nd half kick off return 29-0 sodomizing!! Boo yah!! Flava is just ok but it is different. Citrus, gf, white pepper, hard sharp tang, not sure what the malt bit is here but it’s there. It’s hard and lacking. Background sweetness but just barely. I ain’t up in this mug with y’all. It’s a bit different but overall lame and I’m disappointed big time. Dis bizzle is a fizzle in my shnizzle. His beer is jobber. Eat my balls. joeworrall (86) - USA - JAN 30, 2014
first bit of bad news was that I opened the bomber bottle, which had been sitting quietly in the fridge for weeks, and it overflowed. Las time that happened, it was a skunked bottle of Dogfish Head My Antonia... Not a good precedent. The brew is cloudy (obviously unfiltered) and has a very subtly citrus aroma. The flavor is not subtle... It reminds me of Leinkugel’s Big Eddy, which I find displays over-ripe fruit character. This is not as over-ripe as Big Eddy, but it’s similar. Don’t think I will go out of my way to try this again...
