"Strong Lager"

Note:
Following the acquisistion of the Tennents brands from AB InBev by C & C Group, this beer was immediately licensed back, so effectively remains an AB InBev brand.
The current brewing location is unknown - unfortunately, AB InBev doesn’t seem to consider it important to provide consumers with full information on all their brands, or their provenance.

Sampled last summer. After spending most of the week on tennents lager, we upgraded to the stong lager just to see how it was. It was definitely stronger but just as bad. See review of regular lager.

Gold gelb schwacher Schaum, Geruch dumpf hopfig metallisch , flacher Geschmack kaum herb seltsamer Nachgeschmack

2
inbirraveritas (1622) - Budapest, HUNGARY - APR 19, 2013
Bottled, 330 ml. Pours a clear deep golden with a quickly diminishing white head on its top. Sweet, alcoholy nose and aroma escorted by pale malts and dough. Thin mouthfeel. It finishes short and liqueurique with some shy hoppy undertones. Rather forgetable.

On tap in Italy in a mug. Fruity aroma with a bit af malt. Sweet and refreshing with notes of fruit, but nothing special.

Scrapersnbeer (1532) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - AUG 11, 2013
Immediately licensed back...brewing location unknown. This stuff probably receives extra demerits for being InBev, and is readily available at street carts. Super skunky, alcoholic scent, think ’high gravity pilsner.’ Darker yellow than the regular, which is neither here nor there. Strong malt and alcohol taste. Just heavy enough to fill, hopes to encourage consuming another.

UPDATED: JUL 19, 2017 Flaska inhandlad i Arona, Italien. Klar gyllenfärgad vätska. Brödig doft med äpple och lite metallisk doft. Sötaktig och bitter smak. Spritig

ArtificialCyst (1406) - Szczecin, POLAND - APR 10, 2017
Bottle in a bar in Tagliuno, Lombardia. WHAT AN AWFUL BEVERAGE, GOSH. Smell of booze and esters. Taste of booze, some bready malts and esters again. No biterness. Low body, high carbonation, semi-sweet finish. No head, golden body.

Gaaaaaak. When ever you see the words 'malt liquor', run. Thick and sweet, but very vegetative, something like the state you would be in if this was your beer of choice. what

veceo (1361) - Pula, CROATIA, - JAN 26, 2014
Bottle, 330 ml. Golden color, thin white head, average carbonation. Aroma is metallic and alcohol. Just awful, barely drinkable.
