Wow, a cheap night out guaranteed, all you need are a couple of these. Tasted from the pint sized can and poured into a stein glass. Clear, yet oily looking, medium gold body with a thick and dense pad of foam for a crown, that lasted and left webs of lace down the glass (hard to fault on looks). Boiled shrimp broth and ’fairy floss’ candi nose, extra sweet with an underpinning note of hot ethanol. Sweet and husky in the mouth, the ethanol takes hold quickly and it became a portal to my larrikin years of swigging vodka with a beer chaser, this was hot!!! Sweet congealed sugar flavours slowed the onset of warming alcohol and made for a deadly mix for the unwary. It was honestly an easy drinker, the malt seems to have been replaced by dextrose and I fear a hangover for the morning as it did go down with ease. Light bodied and spritzy in carbonation, it did become unbearable as it warmed and proved to be nothing more than a poser beer for the headstrong. Not my cup of beer!!! Dark golden colour with an off white head. Malty, light caramel sweet aroma with a note of alcohol. Sweet malty flavor with notes of alcohol in the finish.
