Can at home. Golden apple colour. Sugary, grassy smell. Strong alcohol taste, way too strong. Sugary taste. Not really drinkable. Pass.

MBison (548) - Southern Highlands, AUSTRALIA - FEB 10, 2008
Can (500ml). I had to laugh at the label on this one, “please drink responsibly” its 9% and 3.6 (aus) standard drinks with a wide mouth for sculling purposes. Poured a golden orange with an off-white, dense frothy head which lasted well. Aroma was of honey, cornish malts, faint lemon with metallic notes and sulfur notes. Flavor was awful and very metallic, with alcohol, sweet cornish malts and sugar. Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation, a watery texture, metallic mouthfeel and a short finish. Not as bad as the Skol super that’s for sure.

Embrouille (2853) - SWITZERLAND - FEB 13, 2008
Canned 50cl. It pours a deep golden beer with a white head. The nose is metallic, malty with hints of whisky, onions, caramel and alcohol. The taste is metallic, syrupy, alcoholic with hints of onions. Very aggressive. Good lacing. Some fennel showing up. Unpleasant finish.

Bottle. Medium head with medium duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are malt, hops and lots of alcohol. Very unbalanced.

Had this bad boy alongside Carlsberg Special Brew, both in a can. Both cans suggest "drinking responsibly" on the front, however, the 9% abv is quite prominent on the front of this can! A golden beer with a thick white head that settles down after a few minutes. Aroma is boozy with some caramel and malt notes. Alcohol up front with caramel and a dirty malt taste. Very quick finish. I’m sure it does the job but not for me, thank you! Interesting to try this though. Now on to the Carlsberg...

Bottle at a tasting. Thanks zvikar. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of sugar, grains and alcohol. Sweetish alcoholic flavor. Light-bodied.
