Explosive flip-top growler thanks to richiesd. Shot beer so high it actually splattered on the ceiling. Giant, Brett infection driven carbonation. Deep red color with voluminous foam. Nose is funky, soil/ash, tootsie roll. Taste is dusty, soil, ashy, drained. Minerally, void palate. smith4498 (3650) - Winter Springs, Florida, USA - JUL 21, 2012
Draft @ Cervezas. Pours dark brown/black color with tan head. Aromas of roasted malts, milk chocolate and dark roasted malts. Sweet milk chocolate flavor with roasted malts and hints of coffee. Dry and slightly ashy. Medium body with soft carbonation. Nice. drowland (8880) - Georgia, USA - JUL 14, 2012
7/14/12. Growler via hopscotch! Black pour with a nice tan head. Rich coffee and roast aroma with sweet chocolate and fudge that makes it all remind of chocolate/coffee brownies. Rich chocolate and coffee again in the flavor with fudge and sweetness that also reminds me of brownies - but not in an overly sweet dessert way. There is a roasty dryness that cleanses and makes me drink more and more. Nice! hopscotch (11170) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUN 25, 2012
Draft… This beer rocks!… Pours tar black with a mid-sized, creamy, beige head that slowly dissipates, but never fully disappears. Nice, clinging lacework. The nose is exceptionally roasty, providing rich notes of fudge, caramel, toffee and a touch of pouch tobacco. Full-bodied and sticky with buzzing carbonation. The flavor furnishes sweet, dark mocha up front; deep roast and moderate bitterness on the backside. Finishes mostly like an ale, but also has a short, crisp kick to it. World class effort from Matt and Fran! burg326 (5561) - Florida, USA - JUN 16, 2012
32 ouce growler from hopscotch, thanks Eric, poured on the Brew Bus back from the Sour Fest at Cajun Cafe. Poured a dark black color with a sticky tan head. Huge aromas of roast, more campfire ash comes out as the beer warms. Flavors are roast, ash, light chocolate and roast. More campfire/smoke comes out as the beer warms. Thanks Eric for the growler, everone loved it on the bus.
