light orange colour, sweet, tequila aroma, far too much carbonation - not good hayduke (5204) - Eureka, California, USA - JAN 29, 2006
Interesting that is appears what they managed to do is to take a really bad tasting beer (regular Tequiza) and make it stronger. Making something that tastes bad stronger only makes it worse. This is awful. Panzuriel (2238) - Westerville, Ohio, USA - AUG 17, 2002
Twice as strong, twice as bad or more. Who devises this crap? Slick (1969) - Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA - APR 17, 2004
I'm sitting here thinking what did they actually give me that is extra from the original.Hmmm,nothing.The color is straw with a sweet aroma of mild malt and something that i just can't describe. The flavor was just as bad as the regular with maybe a little bit more flavor but not much. It's just not good and i can see how this might be popular in a yuppie bar or a just turned 21 place but it has no real place in the beer world for folks that actually have a pallate for brew.Blah,Try it once but i recommend not going beyond that. 21iceman40 (1735) - Grafton, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 31, 2001
I really liked tequiza, but this stuff was very bad. Smelled bad, looked bad and tasted bad.

Not much taste of beer or tequila, stale aroma. morrdt (715) - Jacksonville, Florida, USA - MAY 10, 2006
The "extra" in Tequiza Extra stands for "extra crappy". It tastes as if they turned up the crap knob on the regular Tequiza to 11, then soaked their nutsacks in the brew before bottling. There’s a reason you can’t find this around...IT SUCKS ASS. Cornboy (424) - Eastampton, New Jersey, USA - OCT 26, 2005
No date on this rating, had to be 3 years ago. I admit I like tequiza regular on a nice summer day, so easy to drink. This one just wasnt for me. The flavors mesh pretty well with the artificial sweetness in the original, this one they are not balanced. Guess thats why this one faded... rman18 (312) - Caldwell, New Jersey, USA - APR 30, 2008
I think its worse then the original... but it does have more alcohol in it which is a plus. More alcohol = get drunk faster = drink less of this crappy artificial lime flavored corona but worse beer. K-V-F-L (292) - LaVista, Nebraska, USA - OCT 23, 2001
A stronger Tequiza merely omits the sweetness and injects an un-beer-like bitterness. OK when right out of the bottle; the smell is of stale bananas. The high rating is due to the fact that the texture is stronger than the regular version.
