Draught @ Brewpub: this one poured a fairly clear amber color. Some off white head and lacing. Decent nose. Caramel malts, slight toast and earthy notes. The taste is good. Malty, some peat and earthiness. Not bad! drfabulous (8489) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - MAY 25, 2016
Draught at brewpub. Light malt with caramel notes. Some sweetness that sticks out. Ok. chinchill (5242) - South Carolina, USA - JUN 27, 2015
On tap at the brewpub.
Cloudy copper body with very good head that laves thick lacing on the glass.
Mild flavor and aroma.
Not bad, but not quite up with an average Scottish Ale from Scotland (from whence I have recently returned). The mouthfeel does hold it’s own, or better, being nicely smooth, medium-light, with medium carbonation that has a nice soft (natural) feel. Tmoney99 (14869) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 5, 2015
Tap. Poured clear dark brown color with medium frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Medium dark toasted malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium dark toasted sweet malt flavor with a medium toasted sweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable brew. Travlr (25876) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - NOV 23, 2014
Draft at the source. Clear golden amber color, tan head with solid lacing. Aroma of caramel biscuit. Taste has caramel and butterscotch. Not bad.

Draft sampler pours amber with a off white head. Aroma of malts and spice. Taste is the malts.

This beer was definitely not a Scottish Ale, although my server insisted (nicely) that it was. I am guessing kegs got mixed up, or the brewboard was not up to date? In any case, this is my rating... Light bronze with a decent head. Nice grain and hop nose with some PNW hops, citrusy, and a touch of bubblegum. If anything, this is closer to a copper ale or IPA. beernovice39 (3270) - Idaho, USA - APR 20, 2012
Draft. Dark brown with a no head and no scent. Yes it is flat? Caramel taste. Boo-hiss BeeriedEyed (211) - USA - MAR 31, 2012
Not had a lot of Scottish ale but this brew is very tasty and will be drinking this beer again. GTAEgeek (2343) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - MAR 14, 2011
On tap at the Terminal Brewhouse. Pours dark brown with a minimal head. The aroma is caramel and light coffee with notes of figs and spices. The flavor is very sweet with just a hint of bitterness. The palate is heavy and sticky. Overall, a nice beer. Tasty and interesting.
